Johanne Rosing
Johanne Cathrine Rosing, née ''Olsen'' (2 June 1756 – 15 January 1853), was a Danish stage actress and ballet dancer, one of the most noted of the era. Biography Born in a poor home as the daughter of Herman Olsen and Gundel Marie Abelgreen. She was a maid before she became a student of the French Ballet company at the court theatre and, in 1772, of the Royal Danish Ballet, when the court theatre became a part of the Royal Danish Theatre. There, she was made an actress in 1773 and given an education of a singer by the theatre. She never learned to read and write. In 1777–79, she was a member of the academy ''Det Dramatiske Selskab'' under the direction of Frederik Schwarz (1753-1838). She was married the Norwegian actor Michael Rosing (1756-1818). They were the parents of singer and stage actress Emilie Rosing (1783–1811). Johan Frederik Clemens
Johan Frederik Clemens (29 November 1749 – 5 November 1831) was a Pomeranian-Danish printmaker in etching. Early life and education Clemens was born in Gollnow (now Goleniów) near Stettin (now Szczecin) in Pomerania, to a poor Saxon weaver, Johan David Clemens, and his wife Anna Francken. The father, along with his son Johan, moved to Copenhagen when the boy was still quite young. He sought to begin his training at the Royal Danish Academy of Art (''Det Kongelige Danske Kunstakademi'') already in 1760 at the age of 11. He enrolled for training, but was rejected by Drawing Master Hans Clio as being too young and little. Sculptor Simon Carl Stanley took an interest in the child, and with his help Johan came into the School of Drawing in 1761. He trained both as a decorative painter, and as a craftsman painter. Emilie Wilhelmine Rosing (6 March 1783 – 23 December 1811) was a Danish singer and stage actress. She was perhaps the most famous female stage artist in Denmark during the age of Napoleon. Biography Rosing was the daughter of the well known acting couple Michael and Johanne Rosing. Fredensborg () is a railway town located in Fredensborg Municipality, North Zealand, some 30 kilometres north of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is most known for Fredensborg Palace, one of the official residences of the Danish Royal Family. As of 1 January 2022, the town had a population of 8,965. Asminderød Church (Danish: Asminderød Kirke) is a parish church in Asminderød, now part of Fredensborg, Fredensborg Municipality som 40 km north of central Copenhagen, Denmark. History A small Romanesque church was built at the site in the first half of the 12th century. It was later in the century expanded westwards. The thick granite walls indicate that they may already then have carried a tower. The current tower and the cross vaulted ceiling of the nave date from the 15th century. The porch on the north side of the church was constructed in the first half of the 13th century and the chancel was expanded to its current size in around 1500. Det Dramatiske Selskab (Denmark)
Det Dramatiske Selskab was a Danish acting academy active in Copenhagen in Denmark in 1777-1779. It was a pioneer institution as the first of its kind in the Nordic countries and had great impact on the acting profession during its short tenure, and enjoyed much respect. The academy was founded by the actor Frederik Schwarz, director Niels Hansen, actor Jacob Arends and Michael Rosing (actor), with Schwarz as the chairperson of the academy. At this point, the Royal Danish Theatre did not yet have an organized school, and the actors was instructed by lessons from seniors. After a study trip to Paris in 1775, Schwarz saw a need for an organized learning of acting, and started to give lessons in what he had learned in Paris.
