Johan Cruijff-schaal XIX
The 2014 Johan Cruyff Shield was the nineteenth edition of the Johan Cruyff Shield ( nl, Johan Cruijff Schaal), an annual Dutch football match played between the winners of the previous season's Eredivisie and KNVB Cup. The match was contested by PEC Zwolle, the 2013–14 KNVB Cup winners, and Ajax, champions of the 2013–14 Eredivisie. It was held at the Amsterdam Arena on 3 August 2014. PEC Zwolle won the match 1–0. Coincidentally, the match was a repeat of last season's KNVB Cup final, which PEC Zwolle emphatically won 5–1, despite conceding early and major crowd disturbance from Ajax fans in the crowd at De Kuip (home of Ajax' rivals Feyenoord). PEC Zwolle
PEC Zwolle is a Dutch football club based in Zwolle, Netherlands. They play in the Eerste Divisie, the second tier of Dutch football, following relegation from the Eredivisie in the 2021–22 season. They have played in the Eredivisie for a total of 16 seasons, reaching sixth place in 2015. They won the KNVB Cup in 2014 and also reached the final in 1928, 1977 and 2015. This is the second incarnation of the club; its predecessor of the same name went bankrupt in 1990. Diederik Boer
Diederik Boer (born 24 September 1980) is a former Dutch footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He spent most of his career playing for PEC Zwolle in the Eredivisie. After retirement in 2019, he is now the goalkeeping coach for the PEC Zwolle youth teams. Career Boer was born in Emmeloord, Netherlands. He made his professional debut on 8 March 2003, when FC Zwolle lost to Ajax 5–0. On 31 August 2014, he signed a three-year contract with Ajax to replace the departed Kenneth Vermeer as second keeper behind Jasper Cillessen. Boy de Jong (born 10 April 1994) is a Dutch footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for VV Zwaluwen. He also works for Feyenoord as a goalkeeper coach on the club's academy.
