Ryan Thomas (footballer)
Ryan Jared Thomas (born 20 December 1994) is a New Zealand professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for PEC Zwolle in the Eerste divisie and the New Zealand national team. Thomas played for various clubs across the Waikato region of New Zealand, before signing professional terms with Eredivisie club PEC Zwolle in 2013. Since then, Thomas has spent his footballing career in the Netherlands, signing for reigning champions PSV Eindhoven in 2018. Thomas is additionally a regular for the New Zealand national team, featuring in the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup. The Eredivisie (; ''"Honour Division"'' or ''"Premier Division"'') is the highest level of professional football in the Netherlands. The league was founded in 1956, two years after the start of professional football in the Netherlands. It is considered one of the best European leagues. The KNVB Beker (; en, KNVB Cup), branded as the TOTO KNVB Beker for sponsorship reasons, is a competition in the Netherlands organized by the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) since 1898. It was based on the format of the English FA Cup. Outside the Netherlands, it is often referred to as the Dutch Cup. The Olé Football Academy, commonly referred to as Olé, is a national association football centre based in the suburb of Porirua in Wellington, New Zealand. Considered the premier football academy in New Zealand, Olé are currently represented at the senior level by Central Premier League side Western Suburbs, and have produced a number of New Zealand internationals in both men's and women's football. Declan John Edge (born 18 September 1965 in Malacca Town, Malaysia) is a former professional footballer who is the current manager of Swedish club Torslanda IK. Born in Malaysia to English parents, Edge represented the New Zealand national football team in the 1980s and 1990s. Edge is considered one of the premier developers of footballing talent in New Zealand, acting as technical director for the Olé Football Academy and developing players such as Ryan Thomas and Tyler Boyd. Tyler Dominic Boyd (born December 30, 1994) is a professional soccer player who plays as a winger for Major League Soccer club Nashville SC. Born in New Zealand, he played for the United States national team. Personal life Boyd is a citizen of both New Zealand and the United States, having been born in New Zealand to a New Zealand father and an American mother. He was raised in Santa Ynez, California, until the age of 10, when he returned to New Zealand. New Zealand Football Championship
The New Zealand Football Championship ( mi, Te Whakataetae Whutupaoro a Aotearoa) was a men's association football league at the top of the New Zealand league system. Founded in 2004, the New Zealand Football Championship was the successor to a myriad of short-lived football leagues in the country, including the National Soccer League, the National Summer Soccer League and the New Zealand Superclub League. The league was contested by ten teams in a franchise system. For sponsorship reasons, the competition was known as the ISPS Handa Men's Premiership. From the 2021-22 season, it was replaced by the New Zealand National League. The seasons used to run from October through to April, and consist of an eighteen-round regular season followed by a playoff series involving the four highest-placed teams, culminating in a Grand Final. Forrest Hill Milford
Forrest Hill Milford United AFC was an amateur association football club from Forrest Hill, New Zealand. They last competed in the Lotto Sport Italia NRFL Premier 2020 season before they merged with Glenfield Rovers to form Northern Rovers. History The club was founded in 1975, ever since the club played in local championships and won two NRFL Division 1 titles. Forrest Hill Milford reached the Quarter-Final of the 2009 Chatham Cup, where they were beaten by eventual champions Wellington Olympic 4–3. In 2015, Forest Hill won the NRFL Division 1 title, finishing 5 points above 2nd placed Tauranga City United, and gaining promotion to the NRFL Premier.
