Joey Van Den Berg
Joey van den Berg (born 13 February 1986) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder. He formerly played professional football for SC Heerenveen, FC Omniworld, Go Ahead Eagles, PEC Zwolle and Reading. Career Dutch Club Career A tough-tackling defensive midfielder, Van den Berg received a record-equaling 7th Eredivisie red card in March 2016. Reading On 28 June 2016, it was announced that Reading would sign Van den Berg on a two-year contract after his current deal expired at SC Heerenveen and when the transfer window officially opened on 1 July 2016. He scored his first goal for Reading in a 2–0 EFL Cup win against Plymouth Argyle on 9 August 2016. On 27 September 2017, van den Berg extended his contract with Reading until the summer of 2019. Nijeveen
Nijeveen is a village in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Meppel, and lies about 5 km northwest of Meppel. History The village was first mentioned in 1310 as "in Hesselrevene", and means "new bog". Nijeveen is a road village which started as a peat excavation settlement. In 1477, a piece of land was purchased by the farmers in the centre of the hamlet to built a church and clergy house. The church was enlarged in 1627 and the 18th century. The tower dates shortly after 1477, but has a date of 1683 when it is probably restored or rebuilt. Nijeveen was home to 390 people in 1840. Since 1976 there is a German windmill named De Sterrenberg which has a cap winded by a fantail. 2010–11 Eerste Divisie
The Eerste Divisie 2010–11 was the 55th season of the Eerste Divisie since its establishment in 1956. The previous year's winners were De Graafschap, who were replaced by last-placed 2009–10 Eredivisie club RKC Waalwijk. The league featured 18 teams, two fewer than its previous season, following the exclusion of HFC Haarlem from professional football and the relegation of FC Oss to the 2010–11 Topklasse. On May 12, 2010 BV Veendam was declared bankrupt due to financial troubles, with FC Oss consequently expected to be readmitted into Eerste Divisie to replace it; however, the verdict was overturned later in June, and the club was thus allowed to play in the season with a reduced budget. From this season on, the last-placed team would be relegated to the Topklasse, and replaced by the winner of the newly established third tier. 2018–19 Eerste Divisie
The 2018–19 Eerste Divisie, known as Keuken Kampioen Divisie for sponsorship reasons, was the sixty-third season of Eerste Divisie since its establishment in 1955. It began in August 2018 and ended in May 2019 with the returns of the finals of the promotion/relegation play-offs, involving also the 16th- and 17th-placed teams from the 2018–19 Eredivisie. Teams A total of 20 teams are taking part in the league. Fortuna Sittard gained promotion to the Eredivisie, and was replaced by FC Twente, who finished bottom in the 2017–18 Eredivisie. FC Emmen and De Graafschap won the post-season playoff, and are replaced in the 2018–19 Eerste Divisie by Roda JC and Sparta Rotterdam. The 2014–15 Eredivisie season was the 59th season of the Eredivisie since its establishment in 1955. On 18 April 2015, PSV were confirmed as champions of the season, thus ending the four-year reign of Ajax.
