2014–15 Eredivisie
The 2014–15 Eredivisie season was the 59th season of the Eredivisie since its establishment in 1955. On 18 April 2015, PSV were confirmed as champions of the season, thus ending the four-year reign of Ajax. Teams A total of 18 teams took part in the league: The best fifteen teams from the 2013–14 season, two promotion/relegation playoff winners and the 2013–14 Eerste Divisie champions. There are three teams that played in the 2013–14 Eerste Divisie that were promoted to the Eredivisie for the 2014–15 season. Willem II returned to the Eredivisie after just one season by winning its first Eerste Divisie title in 49 years. Eredivisie
The Eredivisie (; ''"Honour Division"'' or ''"Premier Division"'') is the highest level of professional football in the Netherlands. The league was founded in 1956, two years after the start of professional football in the Netherlands. It is considered one of the best European leagues. As of the 2020–21 season, it is ranked the sixth-best league in Europe by UEFA. The Eredivisie consists of 18 clubs. Each club meets every other club twice during the season, once at home and once away. FC Twente
Football Club Twente () is a Dutch professional football club from the city of Enschede, sometimes known internationally as Twente Enschede. AFAS Stadion
AFAS Stadion is a stadium in Alkmaar, Netherlands. It is used for football matches and is the home stadium of AZ Alkmaar. The stadium is able to hold 19.478 people and bears the name of a Dutch software company. Due to UEFA's sponsorship regulations, the stadium is named AZ Stadion in European matches. Alkmaar () is a city and municipality in the Netherlands, located in the province of North Holland, about 30 km north of Amsterdam. Alkmaar is well known for its traditional cheese market. SC Cambuur, also known as Cambuur Leeuwarden, or simply Cambuur, () is a Dutch football club from the city of Leeuwarden formed on 19 June 1964. The 2013–14 Eerste Divisie, known as Jupiler League for sponsorship reasons, was the fifty-eight season of Eerste Divisie since its establishment in 1955. It began on 2 August 2013 with the first matches of the season and ended on 26 May 2014 with the return of the finals of the promotion/relegation play-offs, also involving the 16th- and 17th-placed teams from the 2013–14 Eredivisie. Teams A total of 20 teams took part in the league. SC Cambuur were promoted from the Eerste Divisie as 2012–13 champions and replaced by bottom-placed Eredivisie Willem II, whereas Go Ahead Eagles won a top flight place in the ''nacompetitie'', replacing VVV-Venlo, who were eliminated from the post-season playoff and therefore relegated to Eerste Divisie for this season.
