Jo Anne Worley (born September 6, 1937) is an American actress, comedian, and singer. Her work covers television, films, theater, game shows, talk shows, Advertising, commercials, and cartoons. Worley is widely known for her work on the comedy-variety show ''Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In''. Early life and education Worley was born on September 6, 1937, in Lowell, Indiana, the third child of Rose Irene (née Gardner) and Joseph Lauraine Worley. In 1962, her parents divorced and her father remarried, having four children with his second wife, Nancy. Always known for her loud voice, Worley once said that when she attended church as a little girl, she never sang the hymns but would only lip sync them for fear that she would drown out everyone else. Lowell is a town in West Creek and Cedar Creek townships, Lake County, Indiana, United States. The population was 9,276 at the 2010 census. History Lowell was platted in 1853. George Schlatter (born December 31, 1932) is an American television producer and director, best known for ''Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In'' and founder of the American Comedy Awards. For his work on television, Schlatter has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 7030 Hollywood Blvd. Life and career Schlatter was born in Birmingham, Alabama, and raised in Webster Groves, Missouri, a St. Louis inner-ring suburb. Born the son of a violinist mother and a salesman father. He is Jewish. As a teenager, Schlatter sang for two seasons with the St. Louis Municipal Opera, where his mother also performed. ''The Mad Show'' is an Off-Broadway musical revue based on ''Mad Magazine''. The music is by Mary Rodgers and Stephen Sondheim, the book by Larry Siegel and Stan Hart. The show's various lyricists include Siegel, Marshall Barer, Steven Vinaver, and Stephen Sondheim. Production The revue opened on January 9, 1966, at the New Theatre, New York City, and ran for 871 performances. The original cast included Linda Lavin, Jo Anne Worley, Paul Sand, Richard Libertini, and MacIntyre Dixon. Sam Pottle conducted the music. Joe Raposo, who later became music director for ''Sesame Street'' (a job held still later by Pottle), performed onstage as the Piano Player, who was shot during the course of each performance. Billy Barnes (January 27, 1927 – September 25, 2012) was a composer, lyricist and actor from Los Angeles, California. Barnes may be best known for his theatrical revues and his recurring role as Mr. Edlin on the television series ''Mad About You''. Career Barnes started writing musical comedy sketches while still in high school, and continued while at UCLA. He started collaborating in college with Bob Rodgers, and their first professional musical comedy revue, a ''Cabaret Concert Show'', was staged in 1956 in Los Angeles.
