Jo-Ann Zazelenchuk
Jo-Ann Zazelenchuk (born October 15, 1958) is a former political figure in Saskatchewan, Canada. She represented Saskatoon Riversdale from 1982 to 1986 in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan as a Progressive Conservative. At 23, she was the youngest member elected to the Saskatchewan assembly. She was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, the daughter of Leayor Zazelenchuk, and was educated at the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Calgary. Before entering politics, she worked as a real estate agent and gas station attendant. Zazelenchuk defeated Deputy Premier Roy Romanow Roy John Romanow (born August 12, 1939) is a Canadian politician and the 12th premier of Saskatchewan from 1991 to 2001. Saskatoon Riversdale
Saskatoon Riversdale is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, Canada. It was held by two Premiers of Saskatchewan from 1991 to 2007 – Roy Romanow and Lorne Calvert. It is currently represented by Marv Friesen of the Saskatchewan Party. The constituency was one of five created for the city of Saskatoon when the former multi-member constituency of Saskatoon City was abolished prior to the 1967 general election. Of those five ridings, Saskatoon Riversdale is the only one to have existed continuously without renaming. It contains Riversdale, a subdivision of the Core Neighbourhoods Suburban Development Area in Saskatoon. The Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan is the legislative chamber of the Saskatchewan Legislature in the province of Saskatchewan, Canada. Bills passed by the assembly are given royal assent by the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, in the name of the King in Right of Saskatchewan. The Progressive Conservative Party of Saskatchewan is a conservative political party in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. Prior to 1942, it was known as the Conservative Party of Saskatchewan. Roy John Romanow (born August 12, 1939) is a Canadian politician and the 12th premier of Saskatchewan from 1991 to 2001.
