Jinni (film)
''Jinni'' is a 2010 Maldivian horror film directed by Abdul Faththaah. Produced by Ahmed Sharan Hassan under Dash Studio, the film stars Ali Seezan, Mariyam Afeefa and Amira Ismail in pivotal roles. The film was released on 28 January 2010. The film is based on a true stories that occurred in an island of Maldives. The entire film is shot at B. Kamadhoo. The film took eight months to be completed and ready for release. Plot The film starts with the scene Javid (Ali Seezan) and his father quarreling about his wedding proposal to a girl named Nasiha (Amira Ismail), who is the daughter of Javid's father's friend. His mother (Aminath Rasheedha) convinced him to marry Nasiha, though she is aware of the fact that Seezan has been chased by a spirit and it won't allow him to marry anyone. Afterwards, his mother handed over a piece of paper to him. The film is presented in a nonlinear narrative, jumping between the present and past. Abdul Faththaah
Abdul Faththaah Abdul Gayyoom (born 6 December 1971), commonly known as Abdul Faththaah is a Maldivian film director, producer, editor, screenwriter and choreographer. One of the most successful filmmakers in Maldivian Cinema, Faththaah is the recipient of a number of awards, including four Gaumee Film Awards, and two Maldives Film Awards. In 2004, Government of Maldives honoured him with the National Award of Recognition. He is known for his romantically stylish film-making. Mohamed Abdul Ghanee
Mohamed Abdul Ghanee (born 15 April 1978), commonly known as Theyravaa is a Maldivian singer and songwriter. Early life and career Born to a musical family, Ghanee had no interest in music even when his siblings spend their time in jamming and singing. While studying at Madhrasathul Ifthithaah, he participated in the Inter-house singing competition, on a request by his elder brother. His performance was well noted by judges and received several prizes. The success was followed by his next performance, the song "Theyravaa" which caught the attention of a member from the local music band Zero Degree Atoll, who insisted him to perform a different version of the song in the ''Fannaanunge Muzikee Eid Show'' (1992). Hassan Ilham is a Maldivian singer. Career Ilham made his career debut in the late 1990s though his professional career is noted to be initiated in the year 2000 with the studio album ''Hamaroalhi'' where he rendered ten songs for it.
