Ranchi
Ranchi (, ) is the capital of the Indian state of Jharkhand. Ranchi was the centre of the Jharkhand movement, which called for a separate state for the tribal regions of South Bihar, northern Odisha, western West Bengal and the eastern area of what is present-day Chhattisgarh. Birsa Munda Athletics Stadium is a stadium in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. It is used mostly for association football matches and for athletics. The JRD Tata Sports Complex Stadium is a 40,000-capacity (often limited to 24,424 for ISL games) stadium in Jamshedpur, India. Santosh Trophy
The Santosh Trophy, officially known as Hero Senior Men's National Football Championship due to sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp, is a state-level football competition contested by the state associations and government institutions under the All India Football Federation (AIFF), the sport's governing body in India. Before the starting of the first national club league, the National Football League in 1996, the Santosh Trophy was considered the top domestic honour in India. Many players who have represented India internationally, played and gained honour while playing in the Santosh Trophy. The tournament is held every year with 37 teams, who are divided into five zones, must play in the qualifying round and progress into the tournament proper. 2022–23 Santosh Trophy
The 2022–23 Santosh Trophy is the 76th edition of the Santosh Trophy, the premier competition in India for senior men's football teams representing their respective states/union territories and government institutions. Contrary to the recent seasons, this edition onwards, the AIFF adopted a new format for the tournament that saw the removal of the qualification stage, thereby allowing all the state teams to participate in the group stage.
