Jean Elizabeth Manes
Jean Elizabeth Manes (born 1970) is an American diplomat who currently serves as the Civilian Deputy and Foreign Policy Advisor to General Laura J. Richardson, Commander of the United States Southern Command. She is the former United States Ambassador to El Salvador. Manes was nominated by President Barack Obama on October 21, 2015 and confirmed by the Senate on December 9, 2015. Manes is the nominee to be the next US Ambassador to Colombia. Early life and education Manes is a native of Pompano Beach, Florida. Her parents, Roger and Betty Manes, built a family business. Manes attended Highlands Christian Academy through high school, graduating in 1988. She attended Liberty University as an undergraduate, where she played volleyball and coached the men's club volleyball team. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Foreign Policy there in 1992. Choctaw
The Choctaw (in the Choctaw language, Chahta) are a Native American people originally based in the Southeastern Woodlands, in what is now Alabama and Mississippi. Their Choctaw language is a Western Muskogean language. Today, Choctaw people are enrolled in three federally recognized tribes: the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, and Jena Band of Choctaw Indians in Louisiana. The Choctaw were first noted by Europeans in French written records of 1675. Their mother mound is Nanih Waiya, a great earthwork platform mound located in central-east Mississippi. Salto, Uruguay
Salto () is the capital city of the Salto Department in northwestern Uruguay. As of the 2011 census it had a population of 104,028 and is the third most populated city in Uruguay, after Montevideo and Ciudad de la Costa. Location and geography The city is located on Route 3 about northwest of Montevideo, and on the east bank of the Río Uruguay across from the city of Concordia in Argentina.
