Jason Rowe, who formerly recorded under the name Jai, is a British pop and soul singer currently residing in London, England. Life and career Jason Rowe was born in Yeovil, England, in December 1969. He moved to London in the mid-1990s and began working with producer Joel Bogen. A single, "Don't Give Me Away", was recorded under the name "Jai" and released on independent record label M&G Records in February 1997. The success of the single in the UK and across Europe attracted the attention of RCA Records, who released Rowe's debut album, ''Heaven'', later that same year. The album featured mostly original works co-written by Rowe with Bogen, Christopher Bemand, and Rob Watson, as well as contemporary covers of the Arthur Hamilton standard " Cry Me a River" and J. J. Yeovil
Yeovil ( ) is a town and civil parishes in England, civil parish in the district of South Somerset, England. The population of Yeovil at the last census (2011) was 45,784. John Weldon "J. J." Cale (December 5, 1938 – July 26, 2013) was an American guitarist, singer, songwriter and sound engineer. Though he avoided the limelight, his influence as a musical artist has been acknowledged by figures such as Mark Knopfler, Neil Young, Waylon Jennings, and Eric Clapton, who described him as "one of the most important artists in the history of rock". He is one of the originators of the Tulsa sound, a loose genre drawing on blues, rockabilly, country, and jazz. Daphna Dove (born 14 July 1975 in Hamburg, Germany) is an American musician. She is best known for her appearance on the TV Show Rock Star: INXS. Early life Daphna was born in Germany in 1975 and raised in New York City, to which she moved at age 3 with her parents, Jewish-Israeli-German singer-mother Elisa Gabbai and her Jewish-Yugoslavian-German father Nico Anducic, who is credited with having discovered the band Scorpions. Portishead () is an English band formed in 1991 in Bristol. The band is named after Portishead, Somerset, eight miles west of Bristol, along the coast.
