Jang Woo-jin
Jang Woo-jin (born 10 September 1995) is a South Korean table tennis player. He plays for Mirae Asset Daewoo table tennis team. Career Junior Jang started playing international matches from the South Korean cadet boys' team in 2009 – Bahrain Junior Open held in Manama, Bahrain. He won boys' singles title at the 2013 World Junior Table Tennis Championships. 2018 He won the gold medal in 2018 Korea Open held at Daejeon, South Korea without even having been a seeded player at the start of the tournament. He became the first-ever ITTF World Tour triple crown winner in this event as well by also winning gold medals in men's doubles and mixed doubles. 2020 In 2020 ITTF Men's World Cup, he was seeded at 12 and managed to reach up to semi-finals. Table Tennis
Table tennis, also known as ping-pong and whiff-whaff, is a sport in which two or four players hit a lightweight ball, also known as the ping-pong ball, back and forth across a table using small solid rackets. It takes place on a hard table divided by a net. Except for the initial serve, the rules are generally as follows: Players must allow a ball played toward them to bounce once on their side of the table and must return it so that it bounces on the opposite side. A point is scored when a player fails to return the ball within the rules. Play is fast and demands quick reactions. Spinning the ball alters its trajectory and limits an opponent's options, giving the hitter a great advantage. Hugo Marinho Borges Calderano (born 22 June 1996, in Rio de Janeiro) is a table tennis player from Brazil. In January 2022, he peaked at number 3 in the world rankings, becoming the greatest Americas player of all time. He is the first-ever player from Latin America to reach the Top 10 of the ITTF World Rankings. Calderano is also well known for beating China's Fan Zhendong at the quarterfinals of the 2018 ITTF World Tour Grand Finals in Incheon, South Korea. The 2020 ITTF Finals, also referred to as the Bank of Communications 2020 ITTF Finals for sponsorship reasons, was a table tennis tournament that took place from 19 to 22 November 2020 in Zhengzhou, China. The 2020 ITTF Men's World Cup was a table tennis competition held in Weihai, China, from 13 to 15 November 2020. It was the 41st edition of the ITTF-sanctioned event. After series of cancellation of tournaments due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on sports this year, the ITTF World Cup is one of the three year-end tournaments that conclude the table tennis calendar in 2020.
