Jan Čižinský
Jan Čižinský (born 22 April 1978) is a Czech teacher and politician who has been serving as the mayor of Prague 7 since November 2014 and Member of the Prague City Assembly since October 2014. Čižinský is a leader of Prague Together association and former member of KDU-ČSL. Prague 7 is a municipal district (''městská část'') in Prague, Czech Republic. The administrative district (''správní obvod'') of the same name consists of the quarters Letná, Holešovice, Bubny, Bubeneč, Troja as well as a small part of Libeň. It's one of the smallest Prague districts and stretches along the left bank of the Vltava. In the Northern part is located Troja with the Prague Zoo. It is linked to the city centre by metro line C. Other attractions in Prague 7 include the stadium of the Czech football club AC Sparta, cultural centre DOX, cinema Bio Oko, museums ( National Technical Museum and National Museum of Agriculture) and the former trade fair centre Veletržní palác. The Chamber of Deputies, officially the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic ( cs, Poslanecká sněmovna Parlamentu České republiky), is the lower house of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. The chamber has 200 seats and deputies are elected for four-year terms using the party-list proportional representation system with the D'Hondt method. Since 2002, there are 14constituencies, matching the Czech regions. A Cabinet is answerable to the Chamber of Deputies and the Prime Minister stays in office only as long as they retain the support of a majority of its members. The quorum is set by law to one third (67) of elected deputies. Any changes to the constitutional laws must be approved by at least 60 percent of the Chamber of Deputies. KDU-ČSL (In Czech, the initials of the Christian and Democratic Union – Czechoslovak People's Party; cs, Křesťanská a demokratická unie – Československá strana lidová), often shortened to ('the populars') is a Christian-democratic political party in the Czech Republic. The party has taken part in almost every Czech government since 1990. In the June 2006 legislative election, the party won 7.2% of the vote and 13 out of 200 seats; but in the 2010 election, its vote share dropped to 4.4% and they lost all of its seats. Prague Together ( cs, Praha sobě, lit=Prague for itself) is an association of independent candidates in Prague. It was created for the 2018 Prague municipal election by KDU-ČSL MP Jan Čižinský. The main representatives are Jan Čižinský and Hana Třeštíková. It was created on the basis of a similar initiative , which in 2014 won the elections to the municipal council of the Prague 7 district. The association is made up of active citizens, tries to connect with local associations and "to present itself as a principled alternative to the existing municipal establishment with the aim of winning the elections." For the 2022 Prague municipal election it was turned into a political party. ''Blesk'' is a daily tabloid newspaper published in Prague, the Czech Republic. Its name translates as ''lightning''. History and profile ''Blesk'' was first published on 14 April 1991. In 1992, it launched a weekly edition published on Sundays and its magazine, which is a comprehensive TV guide, was started in 1993. The paper is headquartered in Prague and was owned by Ringier until December 2013. Its owner is the Czech News Center (CNC) and its publisher is the Czech Print Center, a subsidiary of the CNC.
