Jan Dashti
Jan Mohammad Dashti (born October 1951) is a Baloch poet, bureaucrat author and anti Islam activist, from Balochistan. Often known as just Jan Dashti, he is a senior bureaucrat serving as Balochistan's Provincial Secretary Mines and Minerals. Birth and education Dashti was born in Kunchiti, in Balochistan. He took a two-year post-graduation course in Journalism at the University of Karachi, from where he passed out in 1972. He also successfully completed the highly acclaimed CSS exam. Journalism Dashti's journalistic career began in 1974, when he joined Pakistan's Press and Information Department (PID). Between 1978 and 1979, he wrote for the ''Weekly Viewpoint'' under the pen-name of Sahak Baloch, mostly contributing Balouchistan-related articles. He has also greatly contributed to the Balouchi language under the pen-name of "Shay Ragam". Baloch People
The Baloch or Baluch ( bal, بلۏچ, Balòc) are an Iranian peoples, Iranian people who live mainly in the Balochistan region, located at the southeasternmost edge of the Iranian plateau, encompassing the countries of Pakistan, Iran, and Afghanistan. There are also Baloch diaspora communities in neighbouring regions, including in India, Turkmenistan, and the Arabian Peninsula. Balochistan
Balochistan ( ; bal, بلۏچستان; also romanised as Baluchistan and Baluchestan) is a historical region in Western and South Asia, located in the Iranian plateau's far southeast and bordering the Indian Plate and the Arabian Sea coastline. This arid region of desert and mountains is primarily populated by ethnic Baloch people. The Balochistan region is split between three countries: Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Administratively it comprises the Pakistani province of Balochistan, the Iranian province of Sistan and Baluchestan, and the southern areas of Afghanistan, which include Nimruz, Helmand and Kandahar provinces. Sindhi Baloch
The Baloch of Sindh, also known as the Sindhi Balochs ( sd, سنڌي ٻروچ, bal, سندی بلۏچ), is a community of Sindhi-speaking Baloch tribes living in the Northern part of Sindh province. According to census records of 2017, the total population of Sindh is 47.89 million. Around 15% of the Sindhis population has ethnically Baloch ancestry. Siddiq Baloch
Siddiq Baloch (alternatively Siddiq Balouch or Siddique Baloch) (10 February 1940 5 February 2018) was a Pakistani journalist, and senior political economist. He was Editor-in-chief of the English daily ''Balochistan Express'' ( Quetta), an Urdu daily ''Azadi'', and the ''English Weekly Express'', ( Quetta). He also regularly contributed columns to ''Dawn'' newspaper for nearly 29 years, and was an authority on Balochistan's social, political and economic matters.
