Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith Pakistan (Urdu:, Arabic: المركزى جمعية اهل حديث الباكستان) is a religious organization and political party in Pakistan. It was founded by Ehsan Elahi Zaheer in 1986. JAH is a founding member of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM). As of 2018, the party is led by Sajid Mir. History Formation Jamiat Ahle Hadith was launched as a political party in 1986 by leader Ehsan Elahi Zaheer. A year later, In 1987, Zaheer was martyred. Split into MJA and JAHP and remerge In 1987, following Zaheer's death, JAH later splits up into 2 main factions, namely Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith (MJAH) led by Sajid Mir and another faction led by Ehsan Elahi Zaheer's son Ibtisam Elahi Zaheer namely Jamiat Ahle Hadith Pakistan (Elahi Zaheer) (JAHP). But, however in 2018, Ibtisam Elahi Zaheer later announced to remerge his faction along with Sajid Mir's faction. Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal
The Muttahida Majlis–e–Amal (MMA; Urdu: , "United Council of Action") is a political alliance consisting of conservative, Islamist, religious, and far-right parties of Pakistan. Naeem Siddiqui (the founder of Tehreek e Islami) proposed such an alliance of all the religious parties back in the 1990s. Qazi Hussain Ahmad endeavored for it and due to his efforts, it was formed in 2002 in a direct opposition to the policies led by President Pervez Musharraf to support for the War in Afghanistan. The alliance more densely consolidated its position during the nationwide general elections held in 2002. The JUI(F) led by its leader, the cleric Fazl-ur-Rahman, retained the most of the political momentum in the alliance, still some portion of the leadership comes from the JI. Sajid Mir (Urdu: ساجد میر) is a Pakistani politician and Islamic scholar. He is the current Ameer of Jamiat Ahle Hadith. He was also a member of Senate of Pakistan and served as Chairperson- Senate Committee on Science and Technology. Early life and education Sajid Mir was born on 2 October 1938 in a religious family in Sialkot, Punjab, Pakistan. He was the relative of Muhammad Ibrahim Mir Sialkoti. Sajid Mir earned Masters in English literature from the University of the Punjab in 1960 followed by a Masters in Islamic studies from the same university in 1969. Jamiat Ahle Hadith Jammu and Kashmir () is an Islamic Ahl-i Hadith organization based in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India. It operates under the parent all-India Jamiat Ahle Hadith Hind, the main motive of which is to practice and propagate the Ahl-i Hadith movement (Salafism). The organization has lakhs of followers across the country. It has many educational centers across the state imparting the Islamic education and some schools operating under Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education (such as the Salfia Muslim Institute). The organization planned to open a university but hasn't been able to do so due to some government concerns. The planned university was to be named "Trans World Muslim University".
