James Schofield (cricketer, Born 1978)
James Edward Knowle Schofield (born 1 November 1978) is an English former cricketer. Schofield was born at Blackpool in November 1978. Schofield began his career in county cricket with the Worcestershire Cricket Board, representing the Board in the MCCA Knockout Trophy between 1998 and 2000. Having trialled for several county second elevens, Schofield was signed by Hampshire in 2001 after taking 40 wickets for the Hampshire Second XI in six matches. He made his debut for Hampshire in a first-class match against the touring Australians at the Rose Bowl, taking the wicket of Matthew Hayden with his first ball. He would make three further first-class appearances for Hampshire, playing twice in the 2001 County Championship against Durham and Worcestershire, and once in the 2002 County Championship against Surrey. Durham County Cricket Club
Durham County Cricket Club (rebranded as Durham Cricket in February 2019) is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Durham. Southern Vipers
The Southern Vipers are a women's cricket team that represent the South of England. The Vipers wear an orange and black kit and play their home matches at the Ageas Bowl and the County Cricket Ground, Hove. They are currently coached by former England Women's captain and former player Charlotte Edwards. The Southern Vipers are partnered with Hampshire, Sussex, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Dorset, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight Cricket Board. Club cricket is a mainly amateur, but still formal, form of the sport of cricket, usually involving teams playing in competitions at weekends or in the evening. Anurag Singh (born 9 September 1975) is a British former first-class cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off spin bowler. Singh was born in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, but moved to England and attended King Edward's School, Birmingham where he played alongside Mark Wagh. He began his cricketing career at Warwickshire and represented England at U-19 level in 1994 and 1995 alongside players such as Marcus Trescothick, Michael Vaughan and Andrew Flintoff. Bowling Average
In cricket, a player's bowling average is the number of runs they have conceded per wicket taken. The lower the bowling average is, the better the bowler is performing. It is one of a number of statistics used to compare bowlers, commonly used alongside the economy rate and the strike rate to judge the overall performance of a bowler. When a bowler has taken only a small number of wickets, their bowling average can be artificially high or low, and unstable, with further wickets taken or runs conceded resulting in large changes to their bowling average. Due to this, qualification restrictions are generally applied when determining which players have the best bowling averages.
