James Miller (basketball)
James Isaac "J. J." Miller, Jr. (born August 23, 1979) is an American professional basketball player. He played overseas since 2001 and has played in multiple countries, including France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Sweden. Since 2012 he is a Borås Basket player and one of the top players in the Swedish Basketligan. He started his professional career in the Netherlands with Landstede Basketbal in 2001. After that period he played with Brest of the French LNB Pro B and in his home country for the Pennsylvania ValleyDawgs. He also played for the Sundsvall Dragons from 2004 till 2005. In the 2005–06 season he played with Demon Astronauts Amsterdam and won the NBB Cup with Amsterdam. He was one of the top scorers in the Eredivisie with 17.6 points per game. In 2012 Miller returned to Sweden, this time to play for Borås Basket. From that moment, Miller was one of the top tier players in the Swedish Basketligan. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Above all, the point guard must understand and accept their coach's game plan; in this way, the position can be compared to a quarterback in American football. DBL All-Star
The Dutch Basketball League All-Star Gala was a yearly basketball event in the Netherlands, organised by the Federatie Eredivisie Basketball (FEB). During the event the yearly All-Star Game was played, which included the best players of a given DBL season. Additionally, a dunk Contest and three-point contest were also held at the event. Since the 2017–18 season, the event is no longer organised by the FEB. The LNB Pro A, currently known for sponsorship reasons as Betclic Élite, is the top-tier men's professional basketball league in France. The competition has existed since 1921. Since 1987, the Ligue Nationale de Basket has governed the league. The bottom two placed teams from each season are relegated to the second tier level Pro B. The winner of the play-offs of the Pro A is crowned the French national champion. Competition format All 16 Pro A League teams play each other twice during the regular season. The Dutch Basketball League (DBL), formerly the Eredivisie, was the highest professional basketball league in the Netherlands, run by the Federatie Eredivisie Basketball (FEB).
