James Heath (golfer)
James Joseph Heath (born 17 March 1983) is an English professional golfer. Heath was born in London. He started playing golf with his father at the age of ten. Having played in the Faldo Junior Series, he went on to a successful amateur career, highlighted by winning the English Amateur and Lytham Trophy, where he broke the previous scoring record by 10 strokes, in 2004. He turned professional at the end of that year. Having played in three tournaments on the European tour as an amateur in 2004, Heath joined the second tier Challenge Tour in 2005, and was moderately successful in his first season, finishing 23rd on the end of season rankings. Having failed to come through qualifying school at the end of the year, he was again playing on the second tier in 2006. He enjoyed even more success, winning his first professional title at the ECCO Tour Championship in Denmark on his way to 14th in the Challenge Tour Rankings and graduation to the European Tour for 2007. 2006 Challenge Tour
The 2006 Challenge Tour was the 18th season of the Challenge Tour, the official development tour to the European Tour. The tour started as the Satellite Tour with its first Order of Merit rankings in 1989 and was officially renamed as the Challenge Tour at the start of the 1990 season. The Challenge Tour Rankings were won by Wales' Mark Pilkington. Frenchman Adrien Mörk shot the first 59 in the history of the PGA European Tour's three tours at the Tikida Hotels Agadir Moroccan Classic. 2004 Eisenhower Trophy
The 2004 Eisenhower Trophy took place 28–31 October at Rio Mar Country Club in Río Grande, Puerto Rico. It was the 24th World Amateur Team Championship for the Eisenhower Trophy. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 66 three-man teams. The best two scores for each round counted towards the team total. Each team was due to play two rounds on the two courses. The leading teams played on the River course on the third day and were due to play on the Ocean course on the final day. Heavy rain and lightning caused the final day to be abandoned and the event was reduced to 54 holes. The leading 36 teams had played their third round on the River course while the others played on the Ocean course. The United States won their 13th Eisenhower Trophy, nine strokes ahead of Spain, who took the silver medal. Eisenhower Trophy
The Eisenhower Trophy (World Men's Amateur Team Championships) is the biennial World Amateur Team Championship for men organized by the International Golf Federation. Since the tournament was first played in 1958, it is named after Dwight D. Eisenhower, the President of the United States at the time, who was a keen amateur golfer. The equivalent competition for women is the Espirito Santo Trophy. Results The 1958 championship resulted in a tie. There was an 18-hole playoff which Australia won with a score of 222 to the United States 224. From 1958 to 2000 the teams had four players with the best three scores counting for each round. From 2002 the teams have been three players with two counting. The 2004, 2010 and 2012 championships were reduced to 54 holes because of bad weather. Bonallack Trophy
The Bonallack Trophy is an amateur golf competition on the model of the Ryder Cup which opposes every two years a European team and a team representing Asia/Pacific. The venue alternates between courses in Europe and Asia/Pacific. The first competition took place in 1998 in Perth, Australia. Since 2016 it has been held concurrently with the women's Patsy Hankins Trophy. Europe leads the series 7 wins to 3. Format The Bonallack Trophy involves various match play competitions between players selected from two teams of twelve representing Europe and Asia/Pacific. It takes place over three days, with a total of 32 matches being played, all matches being over 18 holes. The first two days comprise five foursomes matches and five four-ball matches. The Jacques Léglise Trophy is an annual amateur boys' team golf competition between Great Britain & Ireland and the Continent of Europe. It was first played in 1977, as a one-day match before the Boys Amateur Championship, but since 1996 it has been played as a separate two-day match. The venue generally alternates between Great Britain and Ireland and the continent. From 1958 to 1966 a similar match was played between a combined England and Scotland team and the Continent of Europe. History The event can trace its origins back to 1958. He played as a winger for Hibernian, Derby County, Walsall, Portsmouth, Norwich City, Leicester City, Stoke City, Carlisle United and Dunfermline Athletic. The Nordic Golf League is one of the four PGA European Tour-recognised third-tier men's professional golf tours that are known as the Satellite Tours. The top five players on the rankings list at the end of each season earn a place on the second tier Challenge Tour for the following year. Ryan Fox (born 22 January 1987) is a New Zealand professional golfer who plays on the European Tour and PGA Tour of Australasia. Professional career Fox turned professional in 2012 and played on the 2012 PGA Tour of Australasia. He had two 4th-place finishes, in the New Zealand PGA Pro-Am Championship and the New South Wales PGA Championship.
