Jack Rochford
John Rochford (24 April 1882 – 17 October 1953) was an Irish hurler who played as a full-back at senior level for the Kilkenny county team. Born in Threecastles, County Kilkenny, Rochford first played competitive hurling and cricket in his youth. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of twenty when he first linked up with the Kilkenny senior team. He made his senior debut during the 1902 championship. Rochford immediately became a regular member of the starting fifteen, and won seven All-Ireland medals and nine Leinster medals. As a member of the Leinster inter-provincial team on a number of occasions, Rochford won three Railway Shield medals. At club level he was a two-time championship medallist with Threecastles and Tullaroan. He also played with Erin's Own. Throughout his career Rochford made 41 championship appearances. John Redmond Anthony (13 August 1885 – 6 November 1964) was an Irish hurler who played in numerous positions for the Kilkenny senior team. Anthony made his first appearance for the team during the 1904 championship and was a regular member of the starting fifteen for the next three seasons until his retirement after the 1907 championship. Jamesy Kelleher
Jamesy Kelleher (31 March 1878 – 10 January 1943) was an Irish hurler who played as a full-back for the Cork senior team. Born in Dungourney, County Cork, Kelleher first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of twenty-three when he first linked up with the Cork senior team. He made his senior debut during the 1900 championship. Kelleher immediately became a regular member of the starting team, and won two All-Ireland medals and seven Munster medals. He was an All-Ireland runner-up on four occasions. At club level Kelleher was a three-time championship medallist with Dungourney. Throughout his career Kelleher made 47 championship appearances. He retired from inter-county hurling following the conclusion of the 1914 championship. Matt Gargan
Matthew Gargan (30 September 1885 – 10 March 1949) was an Irish hurler who played as a midfielder for the Kilkenny and Waterford senior teams. Gargan made his first appearance for the Kilkenny team during the 1905 championship and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement after the 1917 championship. Dick Doyle (Kilkenny Hurler)
Dick Doyle (1884 – 16 March 1959) was an Irish hurler who played for Mooncoin and at senior level for the Kilkenny county team in the 1900s. He is regarded as one of Kilkenny's greatest ever players. Playing career Club From a young age Doyle showed exceptional talent at the game of hurling and he quickly joined his local Mooncoin club. He won his first senior county title in 1906 and added two more in 1908 and 1913. Long after his inter-county career had ended Doyle finished off his club career by winning three consecutive county titles in 1916, 1917 and 1918. Inter-county Doyle's first appearance outside of Mooncoin was not for Kilkenny but for his province. He was a spectator at a Railway Shield game at Carrick-on-Suir when some of the Leinster team had failed to turn up. Although aged only 17 he was called in and began his hurling career. Andy "Dooric" Buckley (born 1884) was an Irish hurler who played as a full-forward for the Cork senior team. Born in Blackrock, County Cork, Buckley first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of twenty-one when he first linked up with the Cork senior team. He made his senior debut during the delayed 1903 championship. Buckley immediately became a regular member of the starting team, and won one All-Ireland medal and two Munster medals.
