Jack Campbell (actor)
Jack Campbell (born 2 November 1970) is an Australian actor. He is best known for his role of Dr. Steve Taylor in the Australian medical drama '' All Saints'' on Network Seven and his portrayal of infamous gangster "Big Jim" Devine in the Nine Network drama series '' Underbelly: Razor'', based on the criminal underworld of Sydney in the 1920s. Early life Jack Campbell was born to farmers and graziers, Bruce and Ilma Campbell on 2 November 1970 in Sydney, Australia. The youngest of three boys, Campbell was raised on a wheat and cattle farm in the Australian Outback (Warrenbungles, N.S.W.) He attended Tudor House in Moss Vale for four years before heading to The King's School. Career In 1990, Campbell moved to Sydney, where he pursued acting at The Actors Center in Surry Hills. ''The Pack'' is a 2015 Australian natural horror film that was directed by Nick Robertson, based on a script by Evan Randall Green. The film had its world premiere on 5 August 2015 at the Fantasy Film Festival and centers on a young Australian family who are terrorized by a pack of wild dogs. Despite the title and story, the film is not a remake of the 1977 film of the same name. Plot The film opens with a sitter hearing sounds and going out to her barn to investigate. Jim Devine
James Devine (born 21 May 1953) is a former Member of Parliament. He was the Labour Party member for Livingston from 2005 until 2010 and Chairman of the Scottish Labour Party between 1994 and 1995. On 16 June 2009, following the 2009 expenses scandal, he was barred by the Labour Party from seeking re-election at the 2010 general election, after reports he claimed expenses for work on his home from a non-existent firm. He was convicted of false accounting on 10 February 2011 and sentenced to 16 months' imprisonment on 31 March 2011. ''Sea Patrol'' is an Australian television drama that ran from 2007 to 2011, set on board HMAS ''Hammersley'', a fictional patrol boat of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). Catalpa Rescue
The ''Catalpa'' rescue was the escape, on 17–19 April 1876, of six Irish Fenian prisoners from the Convict Establishment (now Fremantle Prison), a British penal colony in Western Australia. They were taken on the convict ship ''Hougoumont'' to Fremantle, Western Australia, arriving 9 January 1868. In 1869, pardons had been issued to many of the imprisoned Fenians. Another round of pardons was issued in 1871, after which only a small group of "military" Fenians remained in Western Australia's penal system. In 1874, prisoner James Wilson secretly sent a letter to New York City journalist John Devoy, who worked to organize a rescue.
