Ja Sam Za Ples
Yugoslavia participated at the Eurovision Song Contest 1987, held in Brussels, Belgium. It was represented by song "Ja sam za ples", performed by band Novi fosili. The selection process used a revised system for nominations and scoring. In the Contest itself the song was ranked fourth out of 22, winning 92 points. Before Eurovision Jugovizija 1987 The Yugoslav national final to select their entry for the Eurovision Song Contest was held on 7 March 1987 at the Sava Centre in Belgrade, and was hosted by Dejan Đurović and Ivana Stanković. In 1987, new controversial procedures were introduced about the selection of the songs and voting, which remained in force until the last all-Yugoslav pre-selection in 1991. All TV studios nominated two songs as guaranteed participants (a total of 16) and 8 more were selected based on their quality. Jugovizija, Cyrillic: Југовизија, English: Yugovision, was the Yugoslav national final to select their entry for the Eurovision Song Contest, organized by the Yugoslav broadcaster Yugoslav Radio Television (JRT) and its subnational public broadcasting centers based in the capitals of each of the constituent republics of the Yugoslav federation: SR Bosnia and Herzegovina (RTV Sarajevo), SR Croatia ( RTV Zagreb and RTV Split), SR Macedonia ( RTV Skopje), SR Montenegro ( RTV Titograd), SR Serbia ( RTV Belgrade) and SR Slovenia ( RTV Ljubljana) and also the broadcasting services of the autonomous provinces within SR Serbia: SAP Kosovo ( RTV Prishtina) and SAP Vojvodina (RTV Novi Sad). Yugoslavia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 27 times, debuting in 1961 and competing every year until its last appearance in 1992, with the exceptions of 1977–1980 and 1985. Yugoslavia won the 1989 contest and hosted the contest. Ljiljana Petrović was Yugoslavia's first entrant in the contest in and placed eighth. Indexi was a Bosnian and former Yugoslav rock band popular in Yugoslavia. It formed in 1962 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and disbanded in 2001 when singer Davorin Popović died. Some of their most notable songs are "Svijet u kome živim" and "Negdje u kraju, u zatišju" with lyrics by Želimir Altarac Čičak, "Plima", "Sve ove godine", "Sanjam" and "Bacila je sve niz rijeku", which was later covered by many other ex-Yugoslavian groups, notably Crvena jabuka. Indexi formed in 1962, and their name was derived from the "Indeks" which was a student's grade log. They began by making instrumental covers of popular hits, but in 1967 started composing. Seid Memić, known by his stage name Vajta, (born 8 March 1950, in Travnik, Bosnia and Herzegovina) is a Bosnian singer and the vocalist for the Yugoslav rock band Teška industrija ("Heavy Industry"). In 1973, Vajta moved to Sarajevo and that is when his music career begins in earnest. From 1975 to 1976 he was a vocalist for Teška Industrija, who enjoyed great commercial success throughout the Balkan countries but later dissolved. Soon, though, Vajta left the band to start a career as a pop singer. Dragana Todorović ( , / ; born 2 October 1962), better known under the stage name Bebi Dol (), is a Serbian singer and songwriter. Born in Belgrade, she made her debut in 1981 with the single "Mustafa". Bebi Dol rose to further prominence by representing SFR Yugoslavia at the 1991 Eurovision Song Contest with "Brazil (Bebi Dol song), Brazil". Massimo Savić
Massimo Moreno Savić (6 June 1962 – 23 December 2022), also known simply as Massimo, was a Croatian pop singer. His father was a native of Tulež near Aranđelovac. His mother was Italian from Istria, a native of Raša near Labin. He first became popular in the 1980s with his band Dorian Gray, and then soon embarked on a successful solo career. He won five Porin awards for best male vocal performance, 2004–2007, and in 2012. In 2013, Massimo's thirty-year anniversary concert sold out the Pula Arena. It featured Vlado Kreslin, Neno Belan, and Nina Badrić as guests, and was also broadcast live by the Croatian Radiotelevision. Suzana Mančić ( sr-cyr, Сузана Манчић; born 22 November 1956) is a Serbian actress, singer, media personality and television presenter. Early life and career Mančić is the daughter of Aleksandar Mančić, from Pirot, a journalist with the newspaper ''Politika'', and his wife Vera, from Valjevo.
