Raion
A raion (also spelt rayon) is a type of administrative unit of several post-Soviet states. The term is used for both a type of subnational entity and a division of a city. The word is from the French (meaning 'honeycomb, department'), and is commonly translated as "district" in English. A raion is a standardized administrative entity across most of the former Soviet Union and is usually a subdivision two steps below the national level, such as a subdivision of an oblast. However, in smaller USSR republics, it could be the primary level of administrative division. Ivano-Frankivsk Raion
Ivano-Frankivsk Raion ( uk, Івано-Франківський район, translit=Ivano-Frankiwśkyj rajon) is a raion (district) of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Ukraine. It was created in July 2020 as part of the reform of administrative divisions of Ukraine. The center of the raion is the city of Ivano-Frankivsk. Five abolished raions, Bohorodchany, Halych, Rohatyn, Tlumach, and Tysmenytsia Raions, as well as Ivano-Frankivsk and Burshtyn Municipalities, were merged into Ivano-Frankivsk Raion. A hromada ( uk, територіальна громада, lit=territorial community, translit=terytorialna hromada) is a basic unit of administrative division in Ukraine, similar to a municipality. It was established by the Government of Ukraine on 12 June 2020. Similar terms exist in Poland (''gromada'') and in Belarus (''hramada''). Vovchynets ( uk, Вовчинець, pl, Wołczyniec) is a village in Ivano-Frankivsk Raion, Ukraine. It belongs to Ivano-Frankivsk urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Krykhivtsi ( uk, Крихівці, pl, Krechowce) is a big village at the southwestern edge of Ivano-Frankivsk, in Western Ukraine. Uhornyky ( uk, Угорники, pl, Uhorniki) is a village of the Ivano-Frankivsk Raion, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, in Western Ukraine. Khryplyn
Khryplyn ( uk, Хриплин, pl, Chryplin) is a village in Ivano-Frankivsk Raion located in the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Ukraine. It was first mentioned in 1436. Khryplyn belongs to Ivano-Frankivsk urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. The village is located right next to the city of Ivano-Frankivsk across the Bystrytsia-Nadvirnyanska River that makes a natural border of the village to the west and northwest. The village also sits next to another suburb of Mykytyntsi, bordering which by a railroad and the State companies of Avtolyvmash and Presmash (former Karpatpresmash) to the northeast.
