Ivan Arthur
Ivan Arthur is former national creative director of JWT India, one of the leading advertising agencies in the world. He spent 38 years in advertising before retiring in 2002. He is also a trustee of Asian Institute of Communication and Research, better known as AICAR Business School near Matheran. Career He started his career as a recording artist. Playing the mandolin for Bollywood movies, even played for music composer Salil Chowdhury. Later he joined weekly magazine Tide as reporter and sub-editor. Few years later he joined Studio One as a copywriter. In 1964 he joined JWT (then HTA) as a copywriter, one of the leading advertising agencies in the world. Arthur has been part of the 10-member global team that put together the Thompson Total Branding Protocol. AICAR Business School
The Asian Institute of Communication and Research, better known as AICAR Business School or simply AICAR, is a management institute located in Matheran, about 90 minutes from Mumbai in India. AICAR is a residential institute. History AICAR Business School was established in 2002 by the co-founder and Chairman of Chaitra Leo Burnett, Mr. Walter Saldanha. Salil Chowdhury
Salil Chowdhury (19 November 1925 – 5 September 1995) was an Indian music director, songwriter, lyricist, writer and poet who predominantly composed for Bengali, Hindi and Malayalam films. He composed music for films in 13 languages. This includes over 75 Hindi films, 41 Bengali films, 27 Malayalam films, and a few Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Gujarati, Odia and Assamese films. His musical ability was widely recognised and acknowledged in the Indian film industry. He was an accomplished composer and arranger who was proficient in several musical instruments, including flute, the piano, and the esraj. He was also widely acclaimed and admired for his inspirational and original poetry in Bengali. The first Bengali film for which Chowdhury composed music was ''Paribortan'', released in 1949. Walter Saldanha
Walter Saldanha (born October 31, 1931) co-founder with Brendan Pereira, of Chaitra Advertising Private Limited, now Leo Burnett India. Currently the Chairman-Cum-Managing Director of Chaitra Holdings Private Limited. In 2001, he founded the Asian Institute of Communication and Research, better known as AICAR Business School. Career He started his career as a typist in 1947, a few months short of his 16th birthday. In 1951 he joined the advertising agency J Walter Thompson (JWT India) as secretary to a senior account executive. He worked with JWT in various roles, he was also instrumental in setting up JWT operations in Sri Lanka. In 1972, he and Creative Director Brendan Pereira, left Aiyar Advertising and Marketing Ltd, to set up their own advertising agency, Chaitra Advertising.
