Imusicapella
Imusicapella is an internationally-acclaimed church choir based at the Our Lady of the Pillar Parish in Imus City, Province of Cavite, Philippines. The choir regularly sings at the Imus Cathedral and St. Peregrine Chapel. Formed in 2002, Imusicapella has already embarked in eleven (11) international concert tours in countries such as Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Italy, France, Spain, Bulgaria, The Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan and the US states of California, Nevada, Illinois, Iowa, Virginia, Washington DC, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York. They were the recipient of the “General Licerio Topacio Special Award” during the 2006 Parangal ng Bayan ng Imus for being an outstanding group of the city. Ani Ng Dangal
Ani ng Dangal or "Harvest of Honors" is an organizational award given by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, an agency under the Office of the President of the Republic of the Philippines. It is an annual event in the Philippines celebrated as a highlight and concluding rite of the Philippine Arts Festival. Philippine Arts Festival February of every year is National Arts Month in the Philippines. Then President Corazon C. Aquino made this declaration in 1991 via ''Presidential Decree 683''. Imus Cathedral
The Diocesan Shrine and Parish of the Our Lady of the Pillar - Imus Cathedral, commonly known as the Imus Cathedral, is a Roman Catholic cathedral church in the city of Imus, in the province of Cavite, Philippines. The city, which is the capital of the province, also serves as the seat of the bishop of the Diocese of Imus, the diocese that has jurisdiction over the entire Civil Province of Cavite. Enshrined inside the cathedral is the original, miraculous and canonically crowned image of Nuestra Senora del Pilar de Imus (Our Lady of the Pillar). The said title of the Blessed Virgin Mary serves as the titular patroness of the Diocese of Imus, Province of Cavite, as implied by then pope, now a saint, John XXIII. Imus, officially the City of Imus ( fil, Lungsod ng Imus), is a 3rd class Cities of the Philippines#Legal classification, component city and ''de jure'' Capital city, capital of the Provinces of the Philippines, province of Cavite, Philippines. Licerio Topacio
General Licerio Topacio (1839–1925) was a leader in the Philippine independence movement. Born in Imus, Cavite, on August 27, 1839 to Miguel Topacio, a former gobernadorcillo, and Marta Cuenca, Topacio finished his studies in Imus. He was not able to pursue higher education in Manila, but kept on developing his inborn talent by self-study, and when the revolution broke out he showed exceptional leadership in battle. Because of the ongoing Lachambre offensive in Magdalo territory, only eight Magdalo leaders were able to attend the Tejeros Convention on March 22, 1897. They were Baldomero Aguinaldo, Daniel Tria Tirona, Felix Cuenca, Cayetano Topacio, Crispulo Aguinaldo, Antonio Montenegro, and an unidentified Magdalo leader.
