Ida Ovmar
Ida Ovmar (born July 17, 1995) is a Swedish model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Universe Sweden 2016 and represented Sweden at Miss Universe 2016. Ovmar started her pageant career at the age of seventeen when she entered the stage of Miss World Sweden. She won Miss Bride of Sweden and traveled to China. She placed in the top. The same year, 2014 she represented Sweden in Miss Supranational in Poland where she was in the top 20 and won the best body title. During Miss Exclusive she was crowned as 1st runner-up. One year later she decided to compete for the first time in America, Miss Continents were held in Las Vegas June 2016. Ida Ovmar became the first woman outside the US to win the whole competition. Personal life Ovmar works as a model, and is ethnically Sami. She was born just outside Luleå but lives in Stockholm. In high school she studied society and behaviorism. Miss Sweden or Miss Universe Sweden (in Swedish: ''Fröken Sverige''), is the title of the Swedish beauty pageant, qualifying delegates to the Miss Universe competition. In 2009 the pageant renamed as Miss Universe Sweden and the first national final was held on June 6, 2009, the National Day of Sweden. Among the judges were Yvonne Ryding, Miss Universe 1984. The pageant is a late branch of the Miss Sweden contest. The director of the contest is Joakim Granberg of the Starworld Entertainment Corporation. Frida Maria Fornander (born 4 July 1995) is a Swedish model and beauty pageant titleholder. She was crowned Miss Earth Sweden 2014, and competed in Miss Earth 2014. Later, she also won Miss Universe Sweden 2017 and competed in Miss Universe 2017. Miss Universe 2016 was the 65th Miss Universe pageant, held at the Mall of Asia Arena, in Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines on January 30, 2017. This is the second time in the history of the competition that the pageant skipped an entire year, following the 2014 pageant which was held in January 2015. At the end of the event, Pia Wurtzbach of the Philippines crowned Iris Mittenaere of France as Miss Universe 2016.
