Ibrahim Amir
Ibrahim Amir (born 9 December 1967) is a Maldivian singer. Early life and career Ibrahim Amir was born and raised in the "Amir family" where several artists including Ahmed Amir and Fazeela Amir were brought up and "ruled" the local music industry. His talent was first recognized with the album ''Hiyy Fahi'' (1993) followed by several other duets with his sister Fazeela Amir. His songs from the album ''Fashuvi'' and ''Sameydhaan'' were particularly praised by music critics. Throughout his career, Amir recorded maximum songs with Fazeela and was more involved with the studio albums than film songs. In 2006, Amir stopped singing for albums and films and chose to make his "life busy with family plans". Amir was nominated as the "Most Entertaining Male Vocalist". in the SunFM Awards 2010, an award ceremony launched by Sun Media Group to honour the most recognized personalities in different fields. Easa Shareef
Easa Shareef is a Maldivian film director, actor, screen-writer, editor and lyricist. Career In 1993, Shareef collaborated with Yoosuf Rafeeu for his tragedy drama film '' Vaudhu'' (1993) which narrates the separation of a happy couple due to the societal differences. The following year, he directed and starred in the critically acclaimed film '' Zakham'' (1994) where he played the supportive brother of a young girl who has been forced to marry out of her will. In 1996, he directed the film '' Edhuvas Hingajje'' which follows the love triangle of a devoted wife, a reckless husband and his short tempered mistress. This was followed by Yoosuf Rafeeu's award winning film ''Haqqu'' which revolves around a man who is forced to marry a woman against his will, and stars Mariyam Nisha, Reeko Moosa Manik and Mariyam Shakeela in lead roles. Fathimath Rauf (7 October 1959) is a Maldivian singer. Early life and career Fathimath Rauf was born and raised in the "Masodi family" where several local artists emerged as prominent singers. At the age of thirteen, as insisted by her father, Rauf performed a song on the stage which caught the attention of the audience. Music directors realized her potential and roped in to sing for their projects which enabled her to "rise to fame" during her career beginning. While working at Dhivehi Raajjeyge Adu, she joined the local band "Olympians" and became a prominent face in their stage shows.
