Ivett Tóth
Ivett Tóth (born 20 December 1998) is a retired Hungarian figure skater. She is the 2014 CS Ice Challenge bronze medalist, a two-time Santa Claus Cup champion (2014, 2016), the 2018 Christmas Cup champion, the 2019 Volvo Open Cup champion, and a five-time Hungarian national (2014-2017, 2019). She has competed in the final segment at eight ISU Championships and placed 23rd at the 2018 Winter Olympics. Personal life Ivett Tóth was born on 20 December 1998 in Budapest, Hungary. She attended Babits Mihály Gimnázium in Újpest. Career Early years Ivett Tóth's father first brought her to an ice rink in 2004. In 2009, she fractured her ankle and underwent surgery. Figure Skating At The 2018 Winter Olympics
Figure skating at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games was held at the Gangneung Ice Arena in Gangneung, South Korea. The five events took place between 9 and 23 February 2018. Qualification A total of 148 quota spots were available to athletes to compete at the games. Each NOC could enter a maximum of 18 athletes, with a maximum of nine men and nine women. An additional six quota spots were made available for the team event. A further ten team trophy quotas (two in each discipline) were distributed to countries who qualified for the team event but not the discipline itself. The 2015 European Figure Skating Championships were held 26 January – 1 February 2015 in Stockholm, Sweden. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs, and ice dancing. Overview The event was the first figure skating ISU Championship to be held in Stockholm since 1947, when the city hosted the World Championships. It last hosted the European Championships in 1912. ISU Challenger Series
The ISU Challenger Series is a series of international figure skating competitions. Established by the International Skating Union in the 2014–15 season, it is a group of senior-level events ranked below the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Each event consists of at least three disciplines out of four ( men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing), and is required to take place between August 1 and December 15. The ISU Challenger Series Synchronized Skating is a separate competition series in the discipline of synchronized skating.
