Ishq Ka Rang Safed
''Ishq Ka Rang Safed'' () is an Indian television drama series that premiered on 10 August 2015 on Colors TV and ended its run on 26 August 2016. The show portrays the story of a young widow, Dhaani, and a rich boy, Viplav, who falls in love with her and goes against the orthodox views of society to marry her. The show was very much accepted by the viewers at an early slot and gave tough competition to Star Plus's '' Suhani Si Ek Ladki''. Rekha Bhardwaj re-recorded content from her 2011 album ''Kabir Chaura Sufi Chaura'' for the show. Plot Viplav Tripathi, the carefree grandson of Dashrath Tripathi, meets Dhaani, a young widow on the bank of the river Ganges in the holy city of Banaras. Dhaani lives with her mother in a widow refuge ( ''aashram''). Viplav, a law graduate, plans to go to the US for further studies. Chawl
A chawl is a type of residential building found in western India, similar to a tenement. Typically low quality housing, chawls are generally associated with poverty. The first chawls were constructed in the early 1700s, as housing for industrial workers. History Chawls are rooted in the history of Bombay's (now Mumbai) colonial past. Workers migrated to Bombay from far and wide, as Bombay was the center of trade for the East India Company. However, due to the land being unequally divided, British merchants and officials lived in sprawling bungalows, leaving little space for the working class.
