Iowa Senate, District 32
The 32nd District of the Iowa Senate is located in northeast Iowa, and is currently composed of Black Hawk, Bremer, Buchanan, and Fayette Counties. Current elected officials Craig Johnson is the senator currently representing the 32nd District. The area of the 32nd District contains two Iowa House of Representatives districts: *The 63rd District (represented by Sandy Salmon) *The 64th District (represented by Chad Ingels) The district is also located in Iowa's 1st congressional district, which is represented by Ashley Hinson. Sandy Salmon
Sandy Salmon is an American politician, military veteran, and farm manager. Salmon is a Republican member of the Iowa Senate from District 29 and previously served on the Iowa House of Representatives as the Representative from District 63 from 2013 to 2023. Early life On October 23, 1955, Salmon was born in Oklahoma. Salmon's father was Dwight Puttmann, who served in the U.S. military and stationed at Army base in Fort Sill in Lawton, Oklahoma. Salmon's mother was Sally Puttmann. Salmon has a sister. They have a family farm in northwest Iowa. In 1973, Salmon graduated from Kinsley-Pierson High School. Brad Zaun
Bradley Zaun ( R- Urbandale) is an Iowa State Senator formerly from the 32nd District and currently the 20th District. He was the Republican nominee for Iowa's 3rd congressional district in the 2010 general election. Iowa Senate Zaun has served in the Iowa Senate since 2005. Larry McKibben
Larry E. McKibben (born January 5, 1947, in Marshalltown, Iowa) was the Iowa State Senator from the 22nd District. He had served in the Iowa Senate since 1997 and was an assistant minority leader until he retired in 2008. He received his B.A. (1970) from the University of Northern Iowa and his J.D. (1972) from the University of Iowa College of Law. He was admitted to the Iowa bar in 1973. Randal J. Giannetto (born 27 December 1956) is an American lawyer and politician. Randal Giannetto was born on 27 December 1956 to parents Carl and Barbara Giannetto. He attended Marshalltown High School. After graduating in 1975, Giannetto served in the United States Army from 1977 to 1980. Ashley Elizabeth Hinson (born June 27, 1983) is an American politician and journalist serving as the U.S. representative for Iowa's 1st congressional district since 2021. Her district comprises much of the northeast quadrant of the state, including Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, Cedar Falls, and Dubuque. Chad Ingels is an American farmer, business owner, and politician serving as a member of the Iowa House of Representatives from the 68th district.
