Iowa General Assembly
The Iowa General Assembly is the legislative branch of the state government of Iowa. Like the federal United States Congress, the General Assembly is a bicameral body, composed of the upper house Iowa Senate and the lower Iowa House of Representatives respectively. The Senate consists of four year terms and the House consists of two year terms. The General Assembly convenes within the Iowa State Capitol in Des Moines. Muscatine County is a county located in the U.S. state of Iowa. As of the 2020 census, the population was 43,235. The county seat is Muscatine. The southeastern border is formed by the Mississippi River. Louis Muhlbauer
Louis John Muhlbauer (June 26, 1929 — December 25, 1997) is an American politician who served as a Democrat in the Iowa House of Representatives from 1982 to 1992. Biography Early life Maulbauer was born on June 26, 1929, near Halbur, Iowa. In 1947, he graduated from Manning High School. He attended Westmar University for one year, then changed to the University of Iowa, graduating in 1950 with a Bachelor of Science. Maulbauer married Phyllis Kerkhoff of Templeton, on June 12, 1950, having 9 children with her. Muhlbauer taught agriculture at Manning High School for 3 years. Sandra H. "Sandy" Greiner (born October 26, 1945) is Iowa state senator for District 45. She was the Iowa State Representative from the 89th District, first elected in 1992.
