Iowa's 13th Senate District
The 13th District of the Iowa Senate is located in southwestern Iowa, and is currently composed of Appanoose, Davis, Monroe and Wapello Counties. Current elected officials Cherielynn Westrich is the senator currently representing the 13th District. The area of the 13th District contains two Iowa House of Representatives districts: *The 25th District (represented by Hans Wilz) *The 26th District (represented by Austin Harris) The district is also located in Iowa's 3rd congressional district, which is represented by U.S. Representative Zach Nunn. Kent Sorenson
Kent Sorenson (born March 29, 1972) is a former Iowa state legislator who resigned after pleading guilty to obstruction of justice and other felonies related to campaign finances. Sorenson graduated from Indianola High School in 1990. He was the owner and operator of Pro-Kleen Maintenance. According to his LinkedIn profile, Sorenson is currently a realtor with EXIT Realty North Star in Norwalk, IA. Sorenson is not listed as an agent on the EXIT website. Sorenson resigned from office on October 2, 2013, after Iowa's Senate Ethics committee found "probable cause" that Sorenson violated state ethics rules by taking illegal payments from the Michele Bachmann and Ron Paul campaigns in the 2012 Republican presidential primaries and that "his denials of doing so constituted felonious misconduct in office." Tod Bowman
Tod Bowman, (born March 29, 1965) is a Democratic Party of Iowa, Democratic politician and legislator from the state of Iowa. He was elected to the Iowa Senate in 2010. He represents District 29, which holds Clinton County, Iowa, Clinton, Dubuque County, Iowa, Dubuque, and Jackson County, Iowa, Jackson counties. Early life and education Bowman is a graduate of Maquoketa Community High School in 1983. Roger Stewart
Roger Tabor Stewart (born October 4, 1931) is an American politician in the state of Iowa. A Democrat, he served in the Iowa Senate for the 13th district between 2003 and 2011. Patricia Harper (politician)
Patricia Mullaney Harper (born December 4, 1932) is an American teacher and former politician in the state of Iowa. A Democrat, she served in the Iowa House of Representatives as the representative for the 26th district between 1987 and 1991 and between 1991 and 1997. She then served in the Iowa Senate for the 13th district between 1997 and 2003. Early life Harper was born on December 4, 1932, in Cresco, Iowa, to Patrick Mullaney and Martha Mullaney (née Gossman). Iowa's 3rd congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of Iowa that covers its southwestern quadrant, which roughly consists of an area stretching from Des Moines to the borders with Nebraska and Missouri.
