International Exhibition Centre
The International Exhibition Centre ( uk, Міжнародний виставковий центр) in Kyiv is the largest exhibition centre in Ukraine. Located in the western portion of Livoberezhnyi neighborhood, Kyiv, Livoberezhna microdistrict, the center was opened in October 2002, and the head of the center since its construction was Anatoly Tkachenko. The Eurovision Song Contest 2017 was held at the Centre. History The idea of building the complex was from Viktor Tkachenko, then director of the Palace of Sports (Kyiv), Palace of Sports. Current director of the center, Ukrainian architect Yanush Wig designed the complex, and Eduard Safronov was the head of its construction. The location for construction was at the left bank of Kyiv, in the times of Soviet Union it was planned to build a futuristic public center in that area, but the project wasn't completed in its full scale.
