Ingarö Ladies Open
The Ingarö Ladies Open was a women's professional golf tournament on the Swedish Golf Tour and LET Access Series played between 1993 and 2014 near Stockholm, Sweden. At the 2013 event Solheim Cup player Charlotta Sörenstam was in contention after opening rounds of 68 and 69, but had to settle for a tie for 7th after a final round of 75. Ingarö
Ingarö is an island in Värmdö Municipality, Stockholm County. The chief settlement is called Brunn. With an area of 63.26 km2, it is the 16th biggest island in Sweden. Petroglyphs indicate that the island has been inhabited since the Nordic Bronze Age. For most of the 20th century the resident population decreased, while at the same time many vacation homes were built. However, in recent years population has grown as new homes are being built and vacation homes are being converted into permanent homes. Improved communications has made it feasible to commute to Stockholm. In Ingarö cemetery lie the remains of the first Swedish aviator, Carl Cederström, also known as Kalle Flygare. Georgia Kelly Hall (born 12 April 1996) is an English professional golfer. She plays on the Ladies European Tour, and the LPGA Tour. In 2018 she won the Women's British Open at Royal Lytham; it was her first victory in a major championship. Amateur career Hall began her golfing career at Canford Magna Golf Club. She won two gold medals at the 2013 Australian Youth Olympic Festival. She had a successful amateur career winning the 2013 British Ladies Amateur Golf Championship. Professional career Turning professional in July 2014, Hall had an early success, winning the Open Generali de Strasbourg on the LET Access Series. In early 2016, she won the Oates Victorian Open on the ALPG Tour. Åsa Gottmo (born 22 June 1971 in Kalmar) is a retired Swedish professional golfer who played on the Ladies European Tour 1993–2008. She won the 2002 Wales WPGA Championship of Europe and finished 5th in the Order of Merit twice. Amateur career Gottmo played for the National Team and represented Sweden at the 1990 Espirito Santo Trophy in New Zealand together with Jennifer Allmark and Annika Sörenstam. 1993 Swedish Golf Tour (women)
The 1993 Swedish Golf Tour, known as the Lancôme Tour for sponsorship reasons, was the eighth season of the Swedish Golf Tour, a series of professional golf tournaments for women held in Sweden. 1993 was the third year with Lancôme as the main sponsor. The tour attracted international players as the LET only featured 12 events this season. The number of events increased by two and the oldest tournament, the Höganäs Ladies Open, celebrated its 10th and penultimate installment, won by Annika Sörenstam. A teenage Maria Hjorth won two tournaments while Carin Hjalmarsson won three, and captured her second Order of Merit. Madelene Maria Sagström (born 13 November 1992) is a Swedish professional golfer who plays on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour. She won the 2020 Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio and was runner-up at the 2021 Women's British Open. Early life At 9, Sagström begun learning golf with her parents at Enköping Golf Club, 74 kilometres northeast of Stockholm, Sweden, and she has continued to represent the club. Antonella Cvitan (born 3 September 1980) is a Swedish professional golfer and former Ladies European Tour player. Career Cvitan turned professional in 2001 and joined the Ladies European Tour, having finished 26th at Q-School. She played on the LET until 2010. 2007 was her best season, with top-15 finishes at the Ladies Open of Portugal and Ladies Scottish Open.
