Inez Viegas
Inez Viegas (born December 13, 1970) is a Brazilian actress. Biography and career Inez entered theater at the age of twelve. She trained in Brazil and New York. She was a member of the theater group Tá na Rua, which she remained a part of for two years. She began her career in television at the age of 32, making an entry by participating in the telenovela ''Chocolate com Pimenta'' (''Chocolate with Pepper''), by Walcyr Carrasco. She had roles such as Marly in ''Como uma Onda'' (''Like a Wave'') and Nara Leão in ''Por Toda a Minha Vida'' (''For All Of My Life''), which told the story of the singer. Her most recent television appearance was on the show ''Natalia'', on TV Brazil and her last telenovela was ''Promessas de Amor'' (''The Promises of Love''), aired by Rede Record. Telenovela
A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and ''sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. The significant difference is their series run length; telenovelas tell one self-contained story, typically within the span of a year or less whereas soap operas tend to have intertwined storylines told during indefinite, continuing runs. Walcyr Carrasco (born December 1, 1951) is a Brazilian author, film writer and television writer. Career Walcyr Rodrigues Carrasco was born on December 2, 1951, in Bernardino de Campos, São Paulo (State), São Paulo. Writer, playwright and screenwriter, began his professional career as a journalist. His first published book was ''Quando Meu Irmãozinho Nasceu''. Since then, still in children's literature, he wrote and published several works, among them ''A Menina que Queria Ser Anjo'', ''Cadê o Super-herói?'', ''Abaixo o Bicho Papão'', ''Quem Quer Sonhar'', ''Meu Encontro com Papai Noel'' and ''O Mistério da Gruta''. ''Capitu'' is a Brazilian television series written by Euclydes Marinho, directed by Luiz Fernando Carvalho, who also finalized the script, and presented by Rede Globo between 8 and 13 December 2008. The production was a homage to the centennial anniversary of the death of Machado de Assis, author of the 1899 novel ''Dom Casmurro'', on which the miniseries was based.
