Indra Wijaya
Indra Wijaya (; born 16 March 1974) is a former badminton player who initially represented Indonesia and subsequently Singapore. After his retirement, he started a new career as a coach. Wijaya was born in a badminton family, his sibling Candra Wijaya, Candra, Rendra Wijaya, Rendra and Sandrawati was a former Indonesian player. Indra Wijaya played for Indonesia between 1995 and 2000; He was part of the national team that won the Thomas Cup in 1998. He subsequently moved to Singapore, becoming a Singapore permanent resident, and represented the country thereafter. After his retirement, Wijaya started a new career as a coach at the Candra Wijaya International Badminton Centre, after that he was accepted as a men's singles coach in South Korean team. In 2016, he started coaching junior players in Malaysia. Heryanto Arbi
Michael Ludwig Hariyanto Arbi (born 21 January 1972) is a former badminton player from Indonesia who rated among the world's top few singles players in the 1990s. He is the younger brother of Eddy Hartono and Hastomo, who were also world class badminton players. Career The hard smashing Arbi was arguably the most internationally successful of an impressive cadre of Indonesian singles players who were his contemporaries. These included Ardy Wiranata, Joko Suprianto, Alan Budikusuma, Hermawan Susanto, and Hendrawan. Curiously he never won the open singles title of Indonesia which Wiranata dominated in the nineties. This and the Olympic gold medal were about the only prizes that eluded him after eliminated in the bronze medal match in 1996. The Singapore Open is a badminton event that has been held in Singapore annually since 1929. Badminton World Federation categorized Singapore Open as one of the seven BWF World Tour Super 500 events in the BWF events structure since 2018. In 2023, the tournament will be upgraded to a Super 750 event. In 1929, the Singapore Badminton Association (SBA) was established to promote the sport and organise competitions. Xia Xuanze
Xia Xuanze (born 5 January 1979) is a former badminton player from China who played singles at the world level from the late 1990s through the first few years of the 21st century. Now he is a singles coach for the national team of China. Career At one time or another he experienced victory in most of badminton's biggest events. The exception came in his sole appearance at the Olympics when he was beaten in the semifinals of the 2000 Games in Sydney by Indonesia's Hendrawan.
