Indiranagar is a medium-sized neighbourhood in east Bangalore, Karnataka, India. A cosmopolitan locality, Indiranagar is one of the most expensive neighbourhoods in Bangalore. History Indiranagar was formed as a BDA layout in the late 1970s, and was named after the former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi. In the beginning, the locality was primarily a suburb, dotted with large bungalows and independent houses, mostly owned by defence personnel and public sector employees. The Information Technology boom in Bengaluru in the late 1990s converted Indiranagar and its two arterial roads (100 Feet Road and Chinmaya Mission Hospital Road) into a semi-commercial area. 100 Feet Road
Dr S. K. Karim Khan Road, commonly known as 100 Feet Road Indira Nagar. It is a road in the Indian city of Bangalore that links Old Madras Road with Old Airport Road. 100 Feet Road passes through four distinct sections within Indira Nagar. Starting from Old Madras Road, 100 Feet Road passes through Indira Nagar 1st Stage, Indiranagar 2nd Stage, then the posh Defence Colony and finally HAL 2nd Stage ending up at the Domlur Flyover connecting to Old Airport Road. Domlur is a small township located in the eastern part of Bangalore city in India. Domlur was included in the erstwhile Bangalore Civil and Military Station under the British Madras Presidency till it was transferred to the Mysore State in 1949. Jeevana Vima Nagara is a residential area of east Bangalore. The area extends from the Indiranagar 80 Feet Road in the west to Suranjandas Road in the east. Sublocalties like New Thippasandra, HAL 3rd Stage, Geethanjali Layout, Annayappa Garden, Anandapuram, Shivalingaiah Colony, Kullappa Colony, Sudhama Nagar, BDA Layout and Nanja Reddy Colony are also considered a part of Jeevana Vima Nagara. Purple Line (Namma Metro)
The Purple Line is a part of the Namma Metro metro rail system for the city of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. As of 2021, the line is 25.7 km and spans 23 stations from Kengeri in the southwest to Baiyappanahalli to the east. The Purple Line is mostly elevated, with 17 elevated stations, 5 underground stations and 1 at-grade station. Ulsoor, or Halasuru, is one of the oldest neighbourhoods in the city of Bangalore. It is located in central Bangalore, and begins roughly near the eastern terminus of MG Road. Namma Metro ("Our Metro" in Kannada), also known as Bengaluru Metro, is a rapid transit system serving the city of Bengaluru, India. Hoysala Nagara, commonly known as Murphy Town is a suburb located near Bangalore Cantonment, India.
