Domlur
Domlur is a small township located in the eastern part of Bangalore city in India. Domlur was included in the erstwhile Bangalore Civil and Military Station under the British Madras Presidency till it was transferred to the Mysore State in 1949. Domlur is surrounded by offices of multinational software companies and business process outsourcing companies. Domlur hosts the software park Embassy Golf Links (EGL). McAfee, NetApp, Dell, IBM, Microsoft, ANZ, Sasken, Target and Mistral Solutions are the companies located in this area. Domlur is located close to the 'old airport'. Domlur Chokkanathaswamy Temple
Chokkanathaswamy temple, at Domlur in the Indian city of Bangalore, Karnataka, India, is dedicated to the deity known as Chokkanathaswamy or Chokka Perumal (the Hindu god Vishnu). It is one of the oldest temples in the city . The temple has numerous Kannada and Tamil inscriptions that have been documented in the Epigraphia Carnatica Vol 9, Bangalore District (1905ed). Based on these inscriptions the temple is at least as old as 1200CE. History This Chokkanathaswamy temple is considered is amongst the older temples in Bangalore. There are several notable sculptures and decorative features in the complex and the temple faces east. The Inner Ring Road is an arterial road in Bangalore, India. It is a six-lane link road connecting Indiranagar and Koramangala. Old Airport Road is a major road in Bangalore, India. It was renamed from Airport Road after the new Bengaluru International Airport was opened at Devanahalli. Madivala Machideva Road is a 17 km stretch road which begins from the junction of Trinity Church Road and Victoria Road and goes to HAL Bangalore International Airport, Marathahalli, Varthur. Beyond that, the road officially becomes Varthur Road, but since the real estate boom started around 2003, builders have started calling the stretch between the Airport and the Marathahalli Outer Ring Road as Old Airport Road. The Chola dynasty was a Tamil thalassocratic empire of southern India and one of the longest-ruling dynasties in the history of the world. The earliest datable references to the Chola are from inscriptions dated to the 3rd century BCE during the reign of Ashoka of the Maurya Empire. Vijayanagara Empire
The Vijayanagara Empire, also called the Karnata Kingdom, was a Hindu empire based in the region of South India, which consisted the modern states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Goa and some parts of Telangana and Maharashtra. It was established in 1336 by the brothers Harihara I and Bukka Raya I of the Sangama dynasty, members of a pastoralist cowherd community that claimed Yadava lineage. Deva Raya II (r. 1422–1446 CE) was an emperor of the Vijayanagara Empire. The greatest of the Sangama dynasty rulers, he was an able administrator, warrior, and scholar.
