Ilyas Ruhiat
Muhammad Ilyas Ruhiat (January 31, 1934 - December 18, 2007) better known as ''Ajengan Ilyas'' was an Indonesian Ulama and the leader of Cipasung Islamic Boarding School and also a Leader of Supreme Council (Ra'is 'Aam) Nahdlatul Ulama from 1992 until 1999. He was born at Tasikmalaya, Family Muhammad Ilyas Ruhiat was born in a village called Cipasung, Singaparna, Tasikmalaya. His father, K.H. Ruhiat was a National Hero of Indonesia and was also the founder of Cipasung Islamic Boarding School. His mother, Hj. Aisyah was the first wife of KH. Ruhiat. Ilyas married Dedeh Tsamrotul Fuadah and had three children. Sahal Mahfudz
Sahal Mahfudh (December 17, 1937January 24, 2014) was an Indonesian cleric. He was the spiritual leader (''rais aam') '' – the most senior cleric – of the Nahdlatul Ulama, Indonesia's largest Muslim majority organization, from 1999 to the time of his death in 2014. He was also chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI). He took over the Maslakul Huda boarding school from his father, Kiai Mahfudz Salam, in 1963. Ali Yafie
Kiai Hajji Ali Yafie (1 September 1926 – 25 February 2023) was an Indonesian faqih who was chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council. He was a prominent figure of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), the largest Islamic organization in the world based in Indonesia, and served as a temporary chief adviser from 1991 to 1992. He was active as a principal of Pondok Pesantren Darul Dakwah Al Irsyad in Parepare, South Sulawesi, which he founded in 1947, and as a member of the advisory board for the Indonesian Association of Muslim Intellectuals (ICMI).
