Ilya Ilin
Ilya Aleksandrovich Ilyin (russian: Илья Александрович Ильин; born 24 May 1988) is a retired Kazakhstani weightlifter who won four world championships. On 12 December, 2015 at the President's Cup in Grozny, Russia, Ilyin set two world records in the −105 kg class. He lifted 246 kg in the clean and jerk and 437 kg in the total. Ilyin was named IWF World Weightlifter of the Year four times: in 2005, 2006, 2014, and 2015. Originally a two-time Olympic gold medalist in 2008 and 2012, Ilyin was officially stripped of his gold medals on 25 November, 2016, by the IWF due to doping violations after retests of his samples given at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics. Andrei Mikalajevič Aramnaǔ ( be, Андрэй Мікалаевіч Арамнаў, born 17 April 1988) is a Belarusian weightlifter, Olympic and World Champion. Career Andrei was born with six fingers on one hand, but had one removed in 2002 before his coach allowed him to train for the European Championships. He won silver in the 94 kg category at the 2006 Junior World Championships, with a total of 393 kg. At the 2007 Junior World Championships he won gold in the 105 kg category, with a total of 407 kg. Aramnau became world champion in the 105 kg category at the 2007 World Championships, with a total of 423 kg. The International Weightlifting Federation (IWF), headquartered in Lausanne, is the international governing body for the sport of Olympic weightlifting. The IWF was founded in 1905, and has 192 Member Federations. The IWF President is Mohammed Hasan Jalood of Iraq. 2010 Asian Games
The 2010 Asian Games (), officially known as the XVI Asian Games () and also known as Guangzhou 2010 (), was a regional multi-sport event celebrated from November 12 to November 27, 2010 in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China, although several events commenced earlier on November 7, 2010. It was the second time China had hosted the Asian Games, with the first one being Asian Games 1990 hosted in Beijing. Weightlifting At The 2006 Asian Games
Weightlifting was contested by both men and women at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar from December 2 to December 6, 2006. There are seven weight categories for the women and eight for the men. All competition took place at the Banquet Hall, Al-Dana Club. India did not take part in this weightlifting events after the government failed to pay a USD$50,000 fine to the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) to lift their suspension. The IWF suspended India's weightlifting team from any sports events after they failed doping tests during the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia. Iran also had same sanctions after 9 weightlifters failed doping test before the World Championships in Dominican Republic, but after Iran Weightlifting Federation agreed to pay US$400,000, Iran clear to compete.
