Ikon Asean
{{Unreferenced, date=June 2019, bot=noref (GreenC bot) Ikon Asean is a regional music award designed to showcase and recognize talented artists from countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines. The First Ikon Asean was held on August 12, 2007 in Malaysia. Vina Morales and Kjwan, both from the Philippines, won the first title of Ikon Asean for Solo and Group categories, respectively. Each took home US$25,000 (RM86,900) and a trophy. Prior to the competition, each country held their own Ikon competitions (Ikon Indonesia, Ikon Malaysia, and IKON Philippines, Ikon Philippines). Winners from the respective countries would compete for Ikon Asean. The winners in the finals will come solely from the decision of the panel of judges (without SMS voting). Kjwan
Kjwan is a Filipino hard rock band formed in 2003 by former Sandwich guitarist and lead vocalist Marc Abaya and Dicta License bassist Kelley Mangahas. iKon (), stylized as iKON, is a South Korean boy band formed in 2015 by YG Entertainment, consisting of six members: Jay, Song, Bobby, DK, Ju-ne and Chan. IKON Malaysia is a reality singing competition which searches for a champion among existing or established artistes rather than among new, unknown starlets as in other such singing competitions. The programme was co-launched with IKON Indonesia and IKON Philippines in late 2006 as an initiative to search for an artiste who can represent the country in the regional, ASEAN level.
