Ibrahim Majed
Ibrahim Majid Abdullmajid ( ar, إبراهيم ماجد عبد المجيد; born on May 12, 1990) is a Qatari footballer. He currently plays as a central defender for Al Ahli and the Qatar national team. He was born in Kuwait, and is of a Palestinian descent. Career He used to be a striker when he played for Al Wakrah, then his coach in Al Sadd's youth team saw that he has the ability and the strength of a central defender. He made his senior team debut for Al Sadd in 2007 against Al-Karamah SC. Majid scored one of the winning penalties in the 2011 AFC Champions League final against Jeonbuk to help Al Sadd secure the continental title for the second time in its history. Al Sadd Sports Club ( ar, نادي السد الرياضي, lit=Dam Sports Club) is a Qatari sports club based in the Al Sadd district of the city of Doha. It is best known for its association football team, which competes in the top level of Qatari football, the Qatar Stars League. Locally, it is known primarily by the nickname ''"Al Zaeem"'', which translates to "The Boss". 2011 FIFA Club World Cup
The 2011 FIFA Club World Cup (officially known as the FIFA Club World Cup Japan 2011 presented by Toyota for sponsorship reasons) was a football tournament that was played from 8 to 18 December 2011. It was the eighth edition of the FIFA Club World Cup, a FIFA-organised tournament between the winners of the six continental confederations as well as the host nation's league champions. After the United Arab Emirates hosted the tournament in 2009 and 2010, hosting rights for the 2011 edition returned to Japan. 2014 Gulf Cup Of Nations
The 22nd Arabian Gulf Cup ( ar, كأس الخليج العربي) was the 22nd edition of the biennial football competition, and took place between 13 and 26 November 2014 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It was scheduled to take place in Basra, Iraq but was shifted after concerns over preparations and security. Iraq was also due to host the 2013 tournament, but this was moved to Bahrain instead. After being moved to Saudi Arabia, Jeddah was initially announced as the host city but was later moved to Riyadh. Qatar won the cup by defeating Saudi Arabia 2–1 in the final. Thani Bin Jassim Stadium
The Thani bin Jassim Stadium (), also known as the Al-Gharrafa Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium in the Al Gharrafa district of Doha, Qatar. It is currently used mostly for football matches. Al-Gharrafa SC and Umm Salal SC play there. The stadium holds 21,175 people and was built in 2003. The stadium hosted matches of the 2011 AFC Asian Cup and other international competitions. In November 2021, the Asian Football Confederation confirmed that Iraq's 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification matches against Syria and South Korea will be played there.
