Electric Six
Electric Six is a six-piece American rock band formed in 1996 in Detroit, Michigan. Their music was described by AllMusic as a combination of garage, disco, punk rock, new wave, and metal. The band achieved recognition in 2003 with the singles "Danger! High Voltage" and "Gay Bar", and have since released 14 studio albums, two rarities albums, and one live album. A live DVD, ''Absolute Treasure'', was released in 2014. Ataute, S.L., better known by their trading name Kukuxumusu, is a Spanish company from Pamplona, Navarra specialising in clothing and product design. Its name means ''flea kiss'' in Basque. The company was founded in 1989 Pamplona's San Fermín festival. Three friends made souvenir T-shirts depicting the bull-running and bull fights. The company gradually grew and is now one of the key images of San Fermín; in addition to clothing they also produce other goods such as chinaware, keyrings and postcards. Kukuxumusu has exclusive shops in Pamplona and all the main cities within the Basque Country and also in the rest of Spain. Moreover its products are sold elsewhere in over sixty countries. ''Roulette Stars of Metro Detroit'' is an American mockumentary film starring members of the rock band Electric Six as fictional versions of themselves. The film was written by lead singer Dick Valentine and was crowd-sourced through a Kickstarter campaign. The mockumentary features cameos from some backers of the project on Kickstarter who pledged to be given a role in the film. Tyler Spencer (born January 22, 1972), also known as Dick Valentine, is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and author. He is best known as the lead vocalist, main lyricist, and co-founder of the rock band Electric Six. Career Spencer founded Electric Six in 1996, at which time the band was named the Wildbunch, but this was changed because another band had the same name. He is also one of the two members of the dance group Evil Cowards, is one of the vocalists for hard rock band Bang Camaro, and was temporarily a member of the short-lived band The Dirty Shame. ''Señor Smoke'' (2005) is the second album from Electric Six, following ''Fire'' in 2003. It was released in the UK February 14, 2005 by Warner Music imprint Rushmore Records. Due to complications with Electric Six's former record label, Rushmore did not release the album in North America. In December 2005, the band announced a new partnership with Metropolis Records that resulted in ''Señor Smokes North American release on February 7, 2006. ''Señor Smoke'' was ravaged by the UK press upon its 2005 release. However, the response to the album has been much more enthusiastic in America, with several positive reviews, including one from the March 2006 issue of ''Blender'' Magazine that claims that the album (which received four stars) is so good that " tachieves an advance modern medicine has long pursued: it restores virginity."
