IU (entertainer)
Lee Ji-eun (; born May 16, 1993), also known by her stage name IU (), is a South Korean singer-songwriter, record producer and actress. She signed with LOEN Entertainment (now Kakao Entertainment) in 2007 as a trainee and debuted as a singer at the age of fifteen with her first extended play (EP) ''Lost and Found'' (2008). Although her follow-up albums, '' Growing Up'' and '' IU...IM'', brought mainstream success, it was only after the release of " Good Day" ( ko, 좋은 날), the lead single from her 2010 album ''Real'', that she achieved national stardom. "Good Day" went on to spend five consecutive weeks at the top of South Korea's Gaon Digital Chart, and in 2019, it was ranked number one on '' Billboard''s "100 Greatest K-Pop Songs of the 2010s" list. Girl Next Door
The girl next door is a young female stock character who is often used in romantic stories. She is so named because she often lives next door to the protagonist or is a childhood friend. They start out with a mutual friendship that later often develops into romantic attraction. A similar expression is " boy next door". Dream High
''Dream High'' () is a 2011 South Korean television series starring Bae Suzy, Kim Soo-hyun, Ok Taec-yeon, Hahm Eun-jung, Jang Wooyoung and Lee Ji-eun. It aired on KBS2 from January 3 to February 28, 2011, on Mondays and Tuesdays at 22:00 ( KST) for 16 episodes. "Eight" (Korean: 에잇; ''eit'') (stylized in all lowercase) is a song recorded by South Korean singer-songwriter IU featuring Suga, a rapper of South Korean boy band BTS. It was released as a digital single on May 6, 2020 by EDAM Entertainment. It is IU's first single following the release of her fifth EP ''Love Poem'' (2019). The song was written by IU, Suga, and El Capitxn and produced by Suga. Musically, "Eight" has been described as a "nostalgic" pop rock song with lyrics that find IU confessing as a twenty-eight year old, using a virtual figure and various analogies. ''Love Poem'' is the fifth Korean-language extended play (seventh overall) by South Korean singer-songwriter IU. The EP was released on November 18, 2019, through Kakao M. It includes the lead single and title track, "Love Poem", as well as the tracks "Above the Time" and "Blueming", which both received music videos. ''Palette'' () is the fourth studio album by South Korean singer-songwriter IU. It was released on April 21, 2017, by LOEN Entertainment under its imprint FAVE Entertainment. ''Palette'' is IU's first album since ''Chat-Shire'' (2015), and her first full-length release since '' Modern Times'' (2013). The album was successful both commercially and critically. ''Chat-Shire'' (stylized as ''CHAT-SHIRE'') is the fourth Korean-language extended play by South Korean singer-songwriter IU. The self-composed EP was released digitally on October 23, 2015, and physically four days later by LOEN Entertainment under its imprint LOEN Tree.
