The Hum Award for Best Music Band is one of the Hum Awards presented annually by the Hum Television Network and Entertainment Channel (HTNEC) to best Band Artists who has delivered an outstanding performance while working within the Music industry. Since its inception, however, the award has commonly been referred to as the hum for Best Music Band. Nominations are made by Hum members who are artists and composers, and the winners are chosen by the Hum membership as a whole. History Hum Television Network and Entertainment Channel presented this award to one of the most promising Music Band and its artist of Pakistan Music Industry. Hum Network Limited or Hum TV Network Limited ( ur, ہم نیٹ ورک) is a Pakistani media company based in Karachi, Pakistan. It was established in February 2004 by Sultana Siddiqui. It is a current member of Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (APBU), Association for International Broadcasting (AIB), and Commonwealth Broadcasting Association (CBA). History Hum Network Limited was established in February 2004 with the name of Eye TV Limited which was later changed to Eye Television Network Limited on 18 November 2004. The present name, Hum Network, was adopted on 21 January 2011. Company is registered with Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority in October 2004 to operate its first satellite channel Hum TV which went live in January 2005. Goher Mumtaz
Goher Mumtaz ( ur, گوہر ممتاز ) is a Pakistani musician, singer-songwriter, music composer, guitarist and actor. He is famous for being the founding member of rock band Jal. Early life Goher was born in Lahore. As a child, Goher practiced music on a keyboard which he got as a gift. At 16, he sold his bike to buy his first guitar which he hid under his bed due to parent's restrictions. After his high school exams, Goher suffered an accident and was confined to bed for six months. This gave him time and space to grasp every note in the music that he listened to. With no formal training, Goher taught himself composition, song writing and singing. Later, he won in many college-level music competitions and gained momentum by performing at local restaurants in Lahore. Hum Awards Pre-show
The Hum Awards pre-show (currently known as Hum Awards Red Carpet) and Making of Hum Awards are recorded televised pre-shows where former precedes the start of the Hum Awards telecast by 37 minutes and latter, two days prior to ceremony respectively. The pre-show takes place on the red carpet surrounding the theater which holds the telecast, and is almost always hosted by various media personalities, while making of award ceremony introduced the back stage performances, rehearsals, managements and making of stage of ceremony before the event. The Sketches () is a Sufi folk rock band from Jamshoro, Sindh, Pakistan, created by young musician Saif Samejo. Overload (Pakistani Band)
Overload () is a Pakistani rock band from Lahore, Punjab, formed in August 2003. The group is directed by producer, lead vocalist and drummer, Farhad Humayun and keyboard/synth player, songwriter and composer, Sheraz Siddiq, who were soon joined by Hassan Mohyeddin on percussion along with dhol players Pappu Sain and Jhura Sain. The band is regarded by some critics as being the 'Loudest band in Pakistan'. Since their inception, the band has released two studio albums and two live albums. The band released their debut self-titled album '' Overload'' in December, 2006.
