Hemenway (band)
Hemenway was a Japanese rock band formed in 2011 by Korean-Americans Isaac and Charm, along with Toshi and Ogaching who are Japanese natives. The members originally met at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts in 2008 before forming the band. Isaac, the band's vocalist, speaks English, Korean and Japanese, and many of their songs feature lyrics in all three languages. Hemenway provided the 20th ending to the Japanese anime '' Naruto Shippūden'', the first opening theme to the anime '' Eureka Seven AO'', and the opening theme to the anime ''Duel Masters Victory V3''. Their single for ''Eureka Seven AO'', "Escape", placed on the Oricon sales charts 5 times, peaking at 34th place. On March 24, 2014, Hemenway announced the band's departure due to musical creative differences between the band members. J-Pop
J-pop ( ja, ジェイポップ, ''jeipoppu''; often stylized as J-POP; an abbreviated form of "Japanese popular music"), natively also known simply as , is the name for a form of popular music that entered the musical mainstream of Japan in the 1990s. Naruto Shippūden
''Naruto'' is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto. It tells the story of Naruto Uzumaki, a young ninja who seeks recognition from his peers and dreams of becoming the Hokage, the leader of his village. The story is told in two parts – the first set in Naruto's pre-teen years, and the second in his teens. Japan Expo is a convention on Japanese popular culture - the largest of its kind in the world - taking place in Paris, France, although it has branched out into a partnership festival - Kultima - and expanded to include some European and US pop culture as well. It is held yearly at the beginning of July for four days (usually from Thursday to Sunday) in the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center (the second-largest convention center in France). Naoki Urasawa
is a Japanese manga artist and musician. He has been drawing manga since he was four years old, and for most of his professional career has created two series simultaneously. The stories to many of these were co-written in collaboration with his former editor, Takashi Nagasaki. Urasawa has been called one of the artists that changed the history of manga and has won numerous awards, including the Shogakukan Manga Award three times, the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize twice, and the Kodansha Manga Award once. By December 2021, his various works had over 140 million copies in circulation worldwide. , established in 1999, is the holding company at the head of a Japanese corporate group that supplies statistics and information on music and the music industry in Japan and Western music. It started as, which was founded by Sōkō Koike in November 1967 and became known for its music charts. Oricon Inc. was originally set up as a subsidiary of Original Confidence and took over the latter's Oricon record charts in April 2002.
