Hau Lung-bin
Hau Lung-pin (; born 22 August 1952) is a Taiwanese politician. As a member of the New Party, he was elected to the Legislative Yuan in 1995, and resigned his seat to lead the Environmental Protection Administration in 2001. Hau stepped down from the EPA in 2003 and served as Mayor of Taipei from 2006 to 2014. He joined the Kuomintang (KMT) in 2006 and has served as vice chairman of the party in 2014 and from 2016 to 2020. Early life Hau Lung-pin is the son of former Premier and 4-star General (Chief of the General Staff, Army Commander-in-Chief), Hau Pei-tsun. He was born in Taiwan with ancestral roots in Yancheng, Jiangsu, China. He attended the National Taiwan University and graduated in 1975 with a B.S. in Agricultural Chemistry. Hsieh Chi-ta
Hsieh Chi-ta (; born 10 February 1949) is a retired Taiwanese politician who served in the Legislative Yuan from 1993 to 2002. Early life and legal career Hsieh was born in Shangrao on 10 February 1949. At the age of eighteen, she became a schoolteacher. Hsieh's legal career began at age 28, after she had focused her legal studies at National Taiwan University on juvenile delinquency. Hsieh was a judge for eleven years prior to her election to the Legislative Yuan, having been appointed to the Yilan and Hsinchu district courts, as well as the Hualien bench of the Taiwan High Court. Political career Hsieh represented Hsinchu district in the Legislative Yuan from 1993 to 1996. Republic Of China Army
The Republic of China Army (ROCA), previously known as the Chinese Nationalist Army or Nationalist Revolutionary Army and unofficially as the Taiwanese Army, is the largest branch of the Republic of China Armed Forces. An estimated 80% of the ROC Army is located on Taiwan, while the remainder are stationed on the Penghu, Kinmen, Matsu, Dongsha and Taiping Islands. Hau Pei-tsun (, 8 August 1919 – 30 March 2020) was a Mainland Chinese, Chinese politician and military officer who was the Premier of the Republic of China (ROC) from 1 June 1990 to 27 February 1993, and the longest-serving Chief of the General Staff (Republic of China), Chief of the General Staff of the Republic of China Armed Forces from 1 December 1981 to 4 December 1989. On 6 July 2017, Hau attended an academic meeting in Nanjing about the history of the Second Sino-Japanese War, making him the first former ROC premier to visit Mainland China since the end of the Chinese Civil War in 1949.
