Hassan Sheikh Mohamud ( so, Xasan Sheekh Maxamuud, ar, ุญุณู ุดูุฎ ู ุญู ูุฏ; born 29 November 1955) is a Somali politician who has served as the president of Somalia since May 2022. He is the founder and current chairman of the Union for Peace and Development Party. He was 2022 Somali presidential election, elected as President of the Federal Republic of Somalia on 15 May 2022, defeating the incumbent president Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed. He previously served in the same position as the 8th president of Somalia from 2012 to 2017. The Murusade or Murosade (; ) is a Somali clan, part of the Karanle confederation of Hawiye sub-clans. Hawiye
The Hawiye ( so, Hawiye, ar, ุจูู ูููุฉ, it, Hauija) is the largest Somali clan family. Members of this clan traditionally inhabit central and southern Somalia, Somaliland, Ethiopia ( Somali, Harar, Oromia and Afar regions) and the North Eastern Province in Kenya. They are also the majority in the capital city, Mogadishu. The Daljir Party ( so, Xisbiga Daljir, abbr. XD or DP) was a liberal political party in Somalia. It developed from the tradition of socially conservative Islamism, but officially abandoned this ideology in favour of "conservative democracy".
