Harestua Station
Harestua Station ( no, Harestua holdeplass) is a railway station on the Gjøvik Line at Harestua in Lunner, Norway. Situated at from Oslo Central Station (Oslo S), it consists of a side platform along a section of single track. It is served by line L1 of the Oslo Commuter Rail and regional trains on line R30, both operated by Vy Gjøvikbanen, each operating every two hours. The station opened about to the north on 3 June 1984 and was originally named Furumo. In 2012 work started on building a new station, which would replace both the old Furumo Station and the old Harestua Station. Harestua Solar Observatory ( no, Solobservatoriet på Harestua) is a solar observatory near Harestua in the municipality of Lunner, Oppland, Norway. It was used for solar research purposes from 1954 to 1986, and was subordinated the University of Oslo. From 1987 it has been a dedicated science centre for astronomy education for Norwegian schools and public science events. Lunner
Lunner is a municipality in Viken county, Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Hadeland. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Roa. Lunner was established when it was separated from the municipality of Jevnaker on 1 January 1898. From 1 January 2020 the municipality belongs to Viken county, it was Oppland before that. General information Name The municipality (originally the parish) is named after the old ''Lunner'' farm (Old Norse: ''Lunnar''), since the first church was built here. The name is the plural form of "log". (The farm and the church are located on a long hill which was probably compared to a log.) Coat-of-arms The coat-of-arms is from modern times. Viken (county)
Viken is a county under disestablishment in Eastern Norway that was established on 1 January 2020 by the merger of Akershus, Buskerud and Østfold with the addition of three other municipalities. Viken was controversial from the onset, with an approval rating of about 20% in the region, and the merger was resisted by all the three counties. Viken has been compared to gerrymandering. The county executive of Viken determined in 2019, before the merger had taken effect, that the county's disestablishment is its main political goal, and the formal process to dissolve Viken was initiated by the county executive in right after the 2021 Norwegian parliamentary election in which parties seeking to reverse the merger won a majority. Oslo
