Højby is a Danish town, seat of the Odsherred Municipality, in the Region Sjælland. Its population on 1 January 2022 was 1,422. Højby Church (Odsherred)
Højby Church is located in the village of Højby in Odsherred, northwestern Zealand, Denmark. Dating back to the beginning of the 12th century, it is constructed in granite. Mark Haastrup
Mark Flindt Haastrup (born 16 April 1984) is a Danish professional golfer. Haastrup was born in Højby. He attended Georgia State University for two years before turning professional in 2007. He claimed his maiden professional victory on the second tier Challenge Tour the following year, and finished a consistent 2009 season by gaining his card for the top level European Tour at qualifying school. In his first full season on the European Tour he finished at 117 on the Race to Dubai list, and got a medical exemption card for 2011 because of a broken wrist. The following years he struggled to get back on the European Tour. In 2016 he won four tournaments on the Nordic Golf League and finished first on the Order of Merit, which gave him a full card back on the Challenge Tour. Stina Lykke Petersen
Stina Lykke Petersen Borg (born 9 February 1986) is a Danish football goalkeeper who plays for Danish club KoldingQ and formerly the Denmark national team. She has played college soccer in America with the Rollins Tars, and played for professional clubs in Germany and Sweden, as well as in her native Denmark. She won 83 senior caps for Denmark between 2011 and 2018. Club career Lykke Borg began playing football aged five in her hometown Højby. In 2007, she attended Rollins College in Florida and played NCAA college soccer. Following a successful UEFA European Championship 2013 tournament with Denmark, Lykke Borg secured a transfer from Brøndby to FCR 2001 Duisburg. She had compiled three Elitedivisionen titles and four Danish Women's Cups in her time with Brøndby. Nielsine Petersen
Nielsine Petersen (10 July 1851 – 26 November 1916) was a Danish sculptor. Biography Nielsine Caroline Petersen was born at Nyrup in the parish Højby on the island of Zealand, Denmark. She was the daughter of Mads Petersen (1875-1884) and Kirstine born Madsen (1826-c. 1885). She came to Copenhagen and visited Vilhelm Kyhn's drawing school, after which she became a student of August Saabye. She exhibited for the first time at the Charlottenborg Spring Exhibition in 1880 and won the Neuhausen Prize in 1883. In 1889 she received the Academy's travel scholarship and then studied in Paris. In 1893 she won the Eibeschütz Prize for the statue ''Ismail''. She was awarded the Ingenio et arti medal in 1908. In 1901 she was invited on an eleven day visit to Buckingham Palace by King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra of Denmark.
