Rafael Delgado, former known as San Juan del Rio, is a municipality located in the mountainous central zone of the Mexican state of Veracruz, about 140 km from the state capital Xalapa. It has an area of . In 1831, the village of San Juan del Río constituted a municipality. By decree, on November 5, 1932, the municipality became known as Rafael Delgado, in honor of the author, a native of nearby Córdoba. Nogales is a city in the mountainous western region of the Mexico, Mexican States of Mexico, state of Veracruz. Soteapan
Soteapan is a municipality and city located in the south-central zone of the Mexican State of Veracruz, about 260 km from state capital Xalapa. As of 2000, the municipality counted 27,487 inhabitants within 528.07 km², including about 10,000 in the main city area of Soteapan. History Historically the city of Soteapan was mentioned as a part of the municipality of Coatzacoalcos by colonial Spanish references, yet was only recognised as a separate Mexican municipality in 1831. The area in the pre-columbian era was an area of contention between the Aztec empire and its southern neighbours. Soledad Atzompa
Soledad Atzompa () is a village in the mountainous central zone in the State of Veracruz, about 90 km south-east of the state capital Xalapa. It has an area of 65.80 km2 and stands at an elevation of 2260 metres above sea level Its name, Atzompa, comes from the nahuatl language and refers to the small river valleys on the mountain looking like a scalp In time it took the other part of its name from the Soledad river which runs through the town.
